Guys, sorry if I'm covering old ground here, but noticed tonight that I'm getting 30-40% usage on GPU and CPU so frame rates around 30fps - any idea what's holding me back or where to look?
AMD CPUs currently have some major issues processing audio. We're waiting for Epic to rewrite/refactor their audio system.
Ok so you think it's the CPU bottlenecking then?
Anything I can do in the meantime to help?
Nice. Does this patch include the moving grass, trees and bushes when you walk into them that was detailed a few pages back?
I'll be happy if the new map / loadout screen fixes the bug where you press m or return and the screen opens then shoots off and closes immediately again
Loving this game so far. Had some great rounds tonight. Just wish I didn't have the AMD problem. Was ok in a 40 man game but any more and the frame rates would plumet during action.
Frustrating to think that I might have to consider a new CPU and mobo to keep playing when I've literally just finished my water loop
any chance of this game going on sale any time soon?
Hang in there man, Intel CPU isn't the answer even with powerful CPUs frame rates can drop. Atm the game is still in development and they working on improving the animation system.
I thought this was an AMD specific problem? I've got an 8320 at 4.6ghz and a 390x that is peaking at 35% use during play, graphics settings down to low/med and I'm getting 30fps with drops to single digits when lots kicking off. That can't be just a lack of optimisation?
Nope everyone is effected it's just that the performance hit is worst on AMD CPU's.
Ok well that's sort of good to know. Was just chatting on the forum over there and it seems it will always be a CPU intensive game, so still thinking of biting the bullet and switching to a Skylake i5 anyway tbh.
Regardless, loving the game and can't wait to watch the progress.
