***Official Squad Thread***

To those who are thinking about buying it, do.
I have now played Squad for 70 hours and still enjoying it. Don't expect it to be a standard shoot and kill fps, proper tactics are needed and the key is a good squad leader. My kill/death ratio is shocking but I usually end up with a good score based on tickets. So much more fun doing things like flanking enemy positions and holding fire than just running around like a headless chicken shooting anything that moves.

Had a really good game last night with Japseye as the leader (Redcoats server)

Good up the great work and can't wait for British Forces, new animations walking through bushes and vehicles...so much mire to come still :)
 
The new foliage animations and those sound enhancements will put chills down your spine creeping through the woodland moving in on enemy positions. Can't wait!

Thats pretty much sums it up, it's a great game. if your after good tactical play and playing as a team :)

I know, i love crouching going through high grass to snipe an enemy or 2 then silently move back into the grass and wait for unsuspecting medics.

A dense jungle map would be insane! It would also give everyones high end rigs a run for their money too

Agreed, would be awesome.

Had a whole squad moving together creeping slowly through a poppy field the other night, moving in on a cap zone. Enemy held up inside, we could see them but they hadn't spotted us, we get right up close and everyone slings smoke and opens fire. I'm pretty sure they all crapped it, firing in all directions :D
 
I've playing [RIP] Rusty In Places quite a bit and normally have good games on there. Don't think I've tried Skunkdogs yet, will have a look
 
Decided to get this in the end just got to find my spare headset only just realised ive left my other one at work and im not due back in until wednesday.

I think I'm at 150 hours now and I got it mid Jan so would be fair to say I'm loving it. I have found a good crew of folks that I regularly play with now (all found within Squad). This really helps as it's important to have guys that you can trust while playing and good SL's.

Where the game really comes into it's own is when you have multiple SL's who know each other and are planning coordinated flanks / assaults.
 

Damn, I hope they don't balls up the loadout and make it too over-complicated. I hate farting around with custom loadouts with many different options.

A couple of different options would be nice though

This just looks like there is too much going on - http://i.imgur.com/mPyOZk5.jpg and I will stop playing the day you have to unlock weapons depending on the time / hours / stats you have from previous matches. This is one of my pet hates of current online fps
 
Quick question can you change the setting so you only ADS while holding RMB down? i prefer that to having to click in and out of it, i cant seem to find a way to change it if it is possible. NVM was looking in the wrong menu

It won't be complicated. Last thing we want is the Arma situation where everyone stands around an ammo box for 30 minutes trying to decide what to use. There will never, ever be any unlock-able weapons!
