******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

I was tempted to pull the trigger, but perhaps I’ll wait a little longer, it doesn’t sound like a great investment right now.
investment? it only costs £30 if that to buy the game and two starter ships(one of them are actually pretty good/decent) and there is like @Uncle Petey over 20h worth of gameplay missions to do right now with persistance saving of your character

You mean £43.
I think it's worth a go, too. However, you have to go into this knowing that for all the cool, pretty and fun stuff there is, you're going to have to tolerate a lot of buggy stuff that WILL annoy you.

If you want a more finished article for your money, it's best to wait and see.

I think it's worth a go for £30 quid

No is not. There is no "actual game" to worth £30 let alone £43 (proper price) here.

Unfortunately the game is at an "early prototype" that shouldn't even be called "Alpha" stage.
Fundamental mechanics didn't existed until last month, that other games have in Alpha from day one and should have been the first things in game developed. And still is far away from the $10mil target goals, even if it has consumed over $300mil.

Your record is more broken than SC will ever be.

*yawn* Move on with your life.

That's your opinion, That is all it is! nothing more nothing less.

It's getting laborious reading it. We get it, you don't like Chris Roberts/CIG/SC. Thats fine! Move on.

Let those that are interested carry on discussing it.

What opinion has to do with a non existing game, which is still a tech demo?

Plenty of games out there that's worse

You have not even played it.

There are tons of stuff you can do and it offers more gameplay and value then many other games out there

But there is nothing to play. NOTHING. World persistence between updates occurred last month and still more wipes will follow.
And this 7 years after it should have been added in the game given the nature of it?

Or is game trying to go between 2 planets, taking half hour going through interdiction by the authorities and this for the sake to make the game feel "big".

And do not get me started with the bugs making 3.9 barely "playable" in the form of getting the ship for a drive.
Thousands of disconnects with "error 30000", server crashing constantly and when someone lucky soul manages to log in stable for an hour, then half time is spend on QT to jump between Everus to LOR. Assuming you are lucky and you didn't got kicked out when you joined QT or died because of it from some mysterious bug. How about the prison bug where you get completely stuck and neither kiosk can accept the ore making impossible to continue physically play the game.

Is this a "playable" game?
And don't start me with the game content 7 years and $300,000,000 later.

LMFAO at the wildy exaggerated **** you talk, @Panos...

1: There is NOTHING to play? Oh dear... That's too stupid to even bother replying to.
2: There may well be future wipes. And?
2: It takes you half an hour to get between planets? No, it doesn't. Even the two cheapest starter ships take less than 7mins from PO to Microtech with stock QT drives.
2a: The QT cop interdiction thing isn't really a thing anymore, and it didn't make anything take "Half an hour" when it was.
3. Yes, 30k crashes and odd bugs are a thing. No, the server is not "crashing constantly".

Stop being such a hysterical drama queen.

@Malevolence @Darujhistan
Do you even own the game?

Own the game? No I don't. What I do own is an account that enables me to access a tech. demo that is being used to line the pockets of charlatans. Not that it's any of your business, but I actually had two accounts - my original account from the Kickstarter which I managed to sell to a colleague a while back (who is now badgering me to buy it back off of him) which left me with the second account that a mate gave me when he purchased two.
