******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

I'm definitely going to need some kind of a reference sheet on my desk to remind myself of all of the quick keys and reminders on how to do certain tasks.
New Babbage is next on my list for places to visit, then after that I think it'll be a session of re-learning to do some combat and trying out a bit of mining... also need to remember how to make the Ghost go stealth.

Managed to get my game all updated and got it running smoothly with just a little bit of light stuttering in some of the station areas... honestly I expected more stuttering with me playing the game at 3440x1440.
Started off at Lorville, flew over to Levski in the Ghost to do a bit of shopping and some fun manoeuvring around obstacles to relearn how to fly a nimble ship, then headed over to Port Olisar to finish off my little space tour and flight practice.

Happy to say not a single crash during approx 3 hours of playing.

I quite like the lighting just outside of Levski with all of the little rocks floating in space, it makes for a nice background for EVA shots.

I like the look of Delemar, it has a chromatic quality to it.

Hopefully this will make flying fixed guns worth it, Flying fixed you can use larger guns, the penalty is no gimbals, but if you're good enough you can track and hit targets without gimbals, this of course requires there is no desync so if you track and shoot what you are aiming at is actually the target location.

Right now flying fixed puts you at a disadvantage because gimbals have Aim Assist to get around the desync in the game. See here how Aim Assist on gimbals works..... i look forward to the day when that is no longer needed. The hitching in that BTW is the Radeon Recording software.

OK gunna use gimbals

Not all my ships have gimbals. What one do I need to fix on my 325

The Wing mounts are Size 3, the chin mount is Size 4. So you need to get 2 size 3 Gimbals and put those on the wing mounts, then put Size 2 weapons on those gimbals, for the chin get a size 4 gimbal and then you can have a size 3 gun on that gimbal. :)

Cool ok but where do I buy the gimbals from and what are those components called?

use this site, it will tell you the cost and where you can buy the gimbals/weapon and everything for ships.

https://www.erkul.games/calculator
i dont think it lists gimbals there as something u can add to a loadout, i can only select the weapons or torrents that i can attach to but i believe u must first attach a gimbal first and then a size down of the repeater/ballistic weapon etc

What are the best profit making routes at the moment? My andromeda (loaner in place of a taurus) can make ~120-160K aUEC profit per hour trading lyria to arccorp; a cat fully loaded wth the same cargo makes 240K aUEC per run but takes 55mins to fill (50scu per 5 mins refresh apparently) and then 5 minutes of transit time; more but I would say cumbersomly more.

PO to yela mining area 51 i think its called is a nice short run.

Only worth it if you have a drake cat and fill it up wit the item mentioned here > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6MpLtdzwvk

YOu can get around 60k profile per run by droping around 280k investment

Great video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3766UjPqzZM&t=326s
