Paint ware paternation on the Corsair, something that's been in for years but never actually worked, now it is....

Don't repair your ship when you restock.

How on earth do you get paint ware like that on a ship with shields :confused:

I can understand damage from a fight or collision , mind you they have sound in space so.......:rolleyes:

You're shields are on all the time yet if you watch when entering atmosphere there is clearly interaction with the hull so shields do not prevent everything.

Also game magic.
 
In fairness to sound the principle of it being produced by either your helmet or the space ship to help simulate and provide feedback actually makes sense. Be interesting when they have got it so damage to ship can loose sound etc.

We want to provide a quick update on what to expect in the upcoming releases. Our initial goal was to avoid the need to wipe the database for the upcoming point patches. However, due to the current state of Alpha 3.18's database and the numerous hotfixes we've implemented since 3.18 went live (more than 50!), we have concluded that a couple of full wipes (aUEC, items, and reputation) will be necessary to further improve and stabilize the service.

For those interested in what's going on under the hood, alongside a myriad of changes that shook up our database, we uncovered an issue with the Identity Service related to Player IDs, which was revealed through the error 40014 that some of you may be encountering. While we've resolved this issue and many others like it, we'll still require a wipe to get all of our cogs and wheels back into the right place.

For both Alpha 3.18.1 and 3.18.2, we will perform these wipes alongside a hearty list of improvements and optimizations, which will hopefully make your gaming experience much smoother

 
Absolute brain fart idea of launching a new patch and free fly when the patch needs way more justification and testing to see if it's stable..

3.18 has been a **** show and that's down to the management.

I got no beef with the devs.

The management team have thrown the devs who work so hard on stuff like pes and Gen 12, under a bus, ran over twice and then bbq with a flamethrower

It makes sense that if 3.18.1 doesn't fall over then loading it up and using a freefly to do so the next day onwards gets huge traffic in at weekend to see if and how it falls over with the increased player count. Should it of been pushed to next weekend, probably buy seems they want data for 3.18.2 to further harden that code ready for Invictus free fly. It clearly wasn't a planned thing to be this close to do such.

If it falls over tonight and doesn't fix some of the key issues then the freefly gets cancelled.

It's still in alpha so we're all testers and more testers is better, right? :D I can see some of the arguments but still think it's daft and hurts long run.

I am still tempted to wait another couple weeks (insert random time here) for .2 to come out though. This really does sound a small stepping stone to stability.
 
We all knew if not suspected getting CR's persistent coffee cup tech in and working was going to be a nightmare.

Well, its here, and its broken, but its also a lot less broken than it was when it first went live.

There is one thing that bothers me about all this, when they first talked about PES a couple of years ago they emphasised the need to run the replication layer, or whatever its called, on its own dedicated server, for performance reasons, makes perfect sense....
In 3.18.0 at least its is not running on its own dedicated server, in fact its sharing game servers, those servers that are already overloaded without it, now they are talking about the need to run it on its own dedicated server, as if that's something they learned from all this. WTF?????

Yea I mentioned that here before and I remember we had a long chat about it last year also!

Its absolutely mental that they diddnt separate the replication layer before releasing the pes patch!

If that meant another 3.17.5 3.17.6 etc then so be it!

Do it right first time Ffs
