Obviously with lots of people being level 50 for some time now most people have the top tear of armour which has much better stats than your standard equipment.
They are readjusting the high end equipment for 2.0 so it should be more of a level playing field but you will need to work your way through the commendation systems for the best armour.
You don't need the expansion to play 1-50, anything above, yes you do.
It's free to play.
Yeah but free to play is terrible if you want to do anything other than just play for the story.
What extras do you get with the sub?
You actually get to play it without being made to feel you're being followed around by security guards just waiting for you to make a wrong move so they can throw you out
I quite like the game, have a sub currently, I really think you should give it a chance. But it's a subscription game really, still. Just too many ridiculous restrictions if you try to play it without subbing.
Not a troll, the game was too boring for me to continue and Star Wars just isn't a good enough theme. I guess i'm just more of a Fantasy MMORPG kinda guy.

To "fix" it play in windows mode and alt tab away during the conversation.
