A club that boasts a large contingent of world cup winners, is universally accepted as the best team in the world, plays beautiful football and has the best player in the world in their midst. That sounds like a club that any player would be honored to be linked with. All the factors above help to persuade players to move to barca. All the above factors lead to barca not paying what players would be worth to another club.
If Cesc wanted to move but didnt know where then you could slap a nice price tag on him. If he wants to move to only one club then I think you have to realise that you are over a bit of a barrel and must make the best of the situation.
Take Villa for example. If you went round all of the top 10 clubs in europe and offered them Villa for the price barca paid you would have 10 clubs forking over £34 million odd that barce stumped up. He wanted to go to Barca so that lowered his price.
