I've been hearing all weekend from professionals and journalists stating Chelsea will win the league again with one of their points being the depth in their squad compared to other teams.

What depth? Ballack, Cole and now Carvalho on his way out. I have yet to see a decent replacement/s to back this depth claim up.

Someone said it the other day, I don't think they are that bad tbh, I can see Mancienne being recalled as cover for the centre backs and the MF but that's about it.

Tick....tock....tick....tock....
We will see if thats there at the end of next year.

I don't really care if it is, I've had a lifetime of ****'s and giggles already :D

Leave him be, you bully. You know what these blue noses are like when you start having a bit of fun. They take it all too serious.

SSN: West Ham make offer to sign striker Yakubu from Everton.

And this could open us up for a move on Crouch with the money...I really wouldn't want Crouch to be honest!

Nor would I, do I want to go back to the days when ferguson played and we humped the ball every 3 seconds like the england team to try to get rid of pressure. No chance.

I don't think Crouch would want to play for Everton, so you're pretty safe.

Of course he wouldn't, he wants guarenteed football and he isn't good enough to replace what we have. I'd rather play Cahill up top again.

I really hope Chelsea spend some money before the end of the window, I'm amazed Ancelotti is just assuming the youth is going to come in and thats that.

We've lost...

J.Cole - Kakuta to replace?
Belletti - Great squad player, Bruma or Van Aanholt to replace? Matic?
Ballack - Ramires
Deco - Ramires again?
Carvalho - Bruma I guess. Mancienne with any luck but it looks like he'll end up back at Wolves again.

Our once epic defense has been decimated. We must be praying Bosingwa comes back soon else Ivanovic will be sat there assuming Alex is fit. If we lose 2 defenders we're gonna be bodging a back line with people out of position or youth, not good. Will Zhirkov ever be worth the 18m while we're still not sure if he's a LB or a winger?
Then up front we still need competition for Malouda (assuming he maintains his form, which has been absent for the previous 2 years!), what ever happened to our great winger selection, Duff Robben SWP J cole etc. Benayoun? Seriously? Why has Zhirkov never been given time up front properly. Will Kalou ever really get into the first XI?
We still don't have the guaranteed third midfielder, its always been Lamps + Maka + X, now its Lamps + Essien + X. Just hope Ramires becomes that X, but again one injury and we're down to youth.

Why did we let Stoch go, and Di Santo? EDIT - Di Santo still with us, don't know why I thought otherwise.

Bleurgh It's just so frustrating being this club owned by a billionaire and so on, but we rarely seem to splash the cash. Sure a few years ago we were, but we just don't seem concerned with maintaining dominance this year!

We really don't need to spend more cash - we still have two good players in almost every position. For centre-backs we have terry, ivanovic, alex and bruma who is very good. Yes we have lost a few old midfield players but it looks like ramires is on his way, benayoun is in and kakuta can definitely step up. Up front is the one area we could be weak if injuries occur and then it would be dependent on how well sturridge can do.

We're only bringing a few decent youth players through and you think that would be applauded.

kenwyene Jones to stoke 9 million you heard it here first!

Would rather have Carlton Cole myself. Pulis has massive bonner for 6ft black strikers

couple of pages back I'm afraid..and he wont sign, he will either opt to stay put or hope somebody else comes in for him..like saggy chops at spurs

Stoke are just being used I suspect to lure some bigger fish out..same as Remy did with you

but personally speaking I reckon he will stay..Bruce has lost patience with him, as some games he is brilliant and others you barely see him...sadly his bad games are outweighing his good games at the moment..there are other factors though, he has a young family who are really settled and I just get the feeling he will stay put unless a really good offer drops in his lap, and that isnt going to come from Stoke.

Chelsea going to buy to replace Carvalho then?!
Hope not as we're already in the market for Centre-Backs and are finding it tough to sign anyone for a reasonable figure... last thing we need is Chelsea inflating the market when we're already being held to ransom dammit!

They should be applauded for it, the days are gone where they can just go out and spend 100 million and it can only be good for the game that they are bringing through youngsters.

They have treated Mancienne like crap though, if they're not going to play him let him leave.

That's got to be one of the most ridiculous claims I've seen on here.

I've never been a Murphy fan (as a player) but his professionalism can't be called into question. His performances against Liverpool are testament to that.

well a couple of times I have heard him say on camera (while pllaying for Fulham) "Im glad we beat them today (Utd) its good for Liverpool" - (words to that effect, rather than exactly)

It was during your run to 2nd 2 seasons ago when they did the double over us - and it was two seperate interviews, I know what I heard and saw I dont really care what you think tbf

Benayoun will replace Cole and you also have Malouda and Kalou who can play on the wing.

Yes you've lost Ballack and Deco but you seem to be forgetting that you have Essien and Mikel.

I shouldn't have to explain the Chelsea squad to a Chelsea fan :/

Murphy loves getting one over on MU but I think that's mainly down to the grief he gets off us, I don't think it has anything to do with Liverpool, like sexy little Barry says his performances against Liverpool put an end to that one.

I NEVER suggested that he doesnt play well against Liverpool - Baz just tried to add that in there

Alll I said was that the player in question always seems to get more enjoyment from beating us because it willl do some good for Liverpool rather than Fulham

Has absolutely nothing to do with his performances against the scousers

(now maybe he originally said it as a wind-up, maybe thats the case - but it should be expected that he would mention the benefit to Fulham getting 3 points too)

You don't seem to know what you want tbh but I suppose that comes with playing fantasy football.

To be fair , when I originally read his post about Ireland a couple of weeks back it seemed to imply that if Ireland moves to Villa he will have a storming season :)

I'm not arguing with you Franky!

Do you think he would still be a Fulham player if he was more concerned with beating MU for Liverpool rather than Fulham?

If I remember rightly he was in a rich vein of form anyway that season so was playing well against everyone and was talked about for an England call up. He wasn't playing well against everyone to help Liverpool or was he?

Maybe he's a Scouse mole sent out to play for other teams without attracting attention ¬.¬

I have to say Bruma made Berbatov look class on Sunday so hopefully he gets lots of games for Chelsea. Selling Carvalho is a big mistake I think, he helped Terry regularly look far better than he actually is.
