Phillipe Senderos is out for 9 months apparently. I really do feel sorry for him. Curse of the Arsenal drinking fountain I believe...

Thats a shame I was looking forward to watching him next season with a chance of getting more regular football.

Still no signs of us signing another CB, I hope Wenger pulls out a big rabbit or two in the last hour of the transfer market. Not looking promising tho.

well it's not gonna happen now for the start of the season is it, but at least we have til the end of August to sign someone. He bloody well better do, or it could scupper our season before it's even begun.

Really we need a couple of defenders and a keeper, but it just won't happen, there's not even any news on one defender, and we know how cautious Arsene is.

Oh and Arsenal fans read this with caution, it's depressing stuff:

I'll be in the corner having a little weep if anyone wants to join me

There were rumours yesterday that David Elm was involved when someone snapped their Achilles. Must be why we are so linked to a defender. Shame if it's true about Senderos, was looking forward to seeing him play.

Save a spot for me!! It's depressing that he still thinks he has a shot at being #1 after his performances during pre-season and last season. I think Wenger praises our keepers too much, why can't he accept that they're not good enough and we need to sign someone!

haha well that's Barcelona 92794 vs 1 Arsenal

it's like the champions league all over again but with tap-ups!

No, what it does tell me is that the little Arsenal girls want to stop moaning about Barca players talking openly about other clubs players.

It happens all the time and for Arsenal fans to bleet about it is slightly hypocritical!

One of the Arsenal fans pointed this out before, can't remember who though.

If you can't tell the difference between these two transfers then you're being awkward. Also you must know that it was the sheer persistence that annoyed Arsenal, if one player said a few lines on it then fine, instead the entire team came out daily and were incredibly disrespectful and rude to Arsenal as a club, going out of their way to insult the club.

William Gallas is yet to find a new club following his departure from Arsenal and reports this morning claim the defender is interesting Tottenham. However, a potential stumbling block to any deal, according to the rumours, is that Spurs are reluctant to give the Frenchman a two-year contract.

2 years seems fair although it's more likely the high wage demands. I would welcome this move tbh. Big match experience and someone with balls. Sort of player I feel that's been missing in the Spurs squad, apart from Palacios

ultimate fail for us if he goes and signs and plays well for our local rivals just because of some asinine club policy of only offering 1 year deals to over 30s...

Looks like the Senderos claims are true, that's a bugger. This Halliche looks ok and signing for between £1.5-1.8m apparently.

Also meant to sign Gudjohnsen 'within 24 hours' although I never believe that :p, apparently we're trying to talk to Man City about Bellamy too.

Oh I can see the difference, the reason I pointed it out was for the simple reason that Arsenal fans went mad because they were coming out and talking about Fabregas.

The fact is pretty much every club and most players do it, I pointed it out so you can stop crying about it now because you're just as bad.

Just what you lot need, another central defender likely to miss a large chunk of the season through injury. :p
