I know it generally means nothing when Fergie says no more, but...

'To those asking about Ganso, van der Vaart - can't see either happening. Think SAF's shopping is done now. In fact, he said so today'

Ben Hibbs - Twitter.

Press Conference this morning with SAF. All of it not posted up yet, sounded uneventful anyway.

Utd would be fine without signing anyone this season, it's just gonna get expensive when they come to replace players next season. Although with money saved, I guess it doesn't matter (yes they paid £20m+ or whatever it was on youngsters, but that doesn't really count :p). Missing out on the likes of Silva, Ozil, Di Maria and VdV though..

To miss out on them though would imply that we wanted them in the first place and I've never heard Fergie say he wanted any of them.

Where did I mention Hodgson? I questioned the decisions we were making in the transfer market the other day and that apparently meant I wanted him out :o

Hleb had a final ball? My abiding memory of him is how he'd hold on to the ball until he was absolutely certain of being trapped in between three opposition players. Didn't matter how many he'd beat, he'd always make sure to be utterly unable to go anywere else with it before he'd lose it to the other side.

I long for the days when Utd can name the same players week in week out - apart from the odd player needing an occasional rest

While Scholes (and Giggs to a lesser extent, having more sub roles than starting) is absolutely fabulous, it really doesnt help the team constantly shuffling the central midfield - the more consistant the starting XI the most consistant the results willl be (and the whole team performance goes up too)

I guess it depends on whether this Stoke / Gibson loan comes off (doubtful) - if it does though, it would indicate imo that there is another transfer happening

As above if nothign happens - surely next summer will be mega expensive with a gk being a must and some movement in central midfield (if anyone arrives from RM I would have thought it most likely be one of the Diarra's rather than VdV - gorgeous wife but he is a bit meh as a player if you ask me)
