Cheap. Zlatan is worth about £10. Just because Barca paid well over the odds doesn't mean someone else paying way over the odds, but not as much over, is a good deal. Certainly not cheap.

What makes him not worth €25m? Because he's not played in the overhyped EPL perhaps?

His performances for Ajax, Juventus and Inter as a player who has continually grown and was Inter's potent threat domestically proved he was worth €25-30m but not much more given his failure to produce for Inter in Europe. Its ******* cheap when Barcelona valued him at €75m, rightly or wrongly, 12 months ago and cheap when you wouldn't have expected us to get him for that sort of price, albeit the official announcement is due in minutes despite the fact he's already signed the contract.

Honestly, some people.

25mil may or may not be worth it, but its hilariously bad for Barca, 50-60mil euro's, 7-8mil on wages and bonus's and Eto'o, who really shouldn't have been allowed to go for less than 40mil, and a year later they are offloading him for 24mil(maybe) after a year loan.

Worst deal in total money lost in football, and likely will be for a long time to come, maybe forever if some kind of limits are introduced for wages/transfers.

There are other worse deals percentage wise, Jeffers springs to mind, 6-8mil iirc, for 1-2 goals, Ljungberg to West Ham and Dyer are pretty painful deals, millions upon millions for a handful of performances over several years.

Thats cracking dealing on Gallani's part that is.
Managing to persuade Barca to sell a player who, rightly or wrongly, had a price tag of £57.54m, to just £19.69 million, to be payed in 3x £6.56m installments.

Cheaper than i expected.
I'll take that thank you! lol.

Now why cant he do the same sort of deals for more players? lol.

Zlatan is one of the most overrated players on the planet, never does the simple things, always going for hollywood when BBC pebble mill would do.

I dont know, i mean he cant be that overrated when he bangs them in for fun in 3 leagues. And clubs are paying big bucks for him all the time.
Its just here he's not rated aparentely.

Hopefully being at a family club like Milan will see him settle more than he usually does, and hopefully start doing well on the Europen stage, where he usually falters.

We'll be banking on the family feeling at Milan to settle him down and make him feel loved. It appears to have worked with Ronaldinho and both are eager to play together. The signing will also settle Ronaldinho and Pato who were publicly happy but possibly wondering how seriously we were looking at trying to win competitions in the short term.

The reason Ibrahimovic is not rated here is because:

-Few people watch Serie A and its considered to be weaker than it actually is
-People think scoring for Barcelona is easy - I'll agree its probably easier than most clubs but there is a level of pressure
-He's arrogant as hell which a lot of people don't like unless he plays for them
-Barcelona stupidly inflated his price

For the record (relating to drunkenmaster's post), he was valued by Barcelona in the Eto'o deal as being worth a total of €66m and his wages were €12m per season which is the amount Milan will play him during the loan until next summer when we are required to purchase him for €24m. Barcelona claim to be saving something like €60m by making this deal.

Amazing work by Galliani as you've said BoomAM. About time he started doing things right! Hopefully this means we'll have some money to continue refreshing the squad next summer. We'll certainly need to.

It's like a crap Where's Wally. :(

Haha :D

Fabiano missing from Seville's starting lineup again...

Please don't sign him Harry. He isn't the answer to our problems.

As Harry has already said. they are asking ridiculous money for a player his age and he isn't that much better than what we already have.
To slash out the £20-£25mill that is being mentioned would be one way to waste the money we will get from the Champions League this season.

(IMO)

Liverpool have completed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Raul Meireles on a four-year contract.

The Reds have paid 14 million euros for the services of the 27-year-old midfielder, who has won four titles with Porto and been capped 38 times by Portugal, including in all four of his country's games in this summer's World Cup.

Didn't expect it to be completed this quick after only hearing about it yesterday.

I thought he'd flopped at barca. I don't see much Spanish footy but I thought he was more of a berbatov than a drogba.

There's a lot of very average players around would have a good scoring record in holland.

Didn't do bad at all;

42 games, 22 goals and 10 assists.

Some people go way OTT with the criticism of Imbrahimovic. Yes he's overrated and he wasn't worth anything like what he cost Barca but he's still an incredibly talented player.

~£20m for him would be an excellent deal for Milan.

I would hope his role is limited to selecting which players he would like to bring in because I'm not happy with the attempts that have been made to push the likes of Insua, Lucas and Ngog out of the club.

If Ibra is on a 5 year, deal, he could go back to Barca and he'd still get played, on 12mil euro's a year, whats that, 10mil squid? thats 200k a week, he's on silly money and AC will likely have to get at least pretty damn close to sign him, so thats an extra 5mil a year than almost any other player at Milan likely, which would essentially make him 20mil more than any other 20mil striker they could get.

Its still not a bad deal, but he did have several not great years at Inter and Juve was it, where he really wasn't scoring at the same level, and only scored a lot more, more recently in Serie A as he became, afaik, pretty much the focus of the team and in a league where the worse teams seem to be getting worse, the gap between the top and bottom of all the main leagues seems to be widening and the goal scoring is reflecting that.

If he scores 30 goals a year at AC he'll be worth the cash, if he flops and scores 10, then he'll have been expensive.

THe only thing we can all be completely sure of, its a horrible horrible deal for Barca.

Milan as a city is such a dump its unbelievable. Its like an Italian version of London. Why you would ever want to move from a beautiful city such as Barcelona, I don't know. :p
