:D

I actually have started to rate Mellor, he's got decent feet for a lump, him and Tudgay up top

Morrison is decent, looks good but coming to the end of his footballing life (also looks really ****ing knackered after about 30 minutes :p) those three if fit should do fine, also got Heffernan who's decent. Should easily get enough goals to get back in to the Championship, despite the decent forwards our biggest "problem" is our midfield, which is fairly awful, and has been since you nicked Glenn from us, he's a good midfielder, really rated him. Coke who we got from Motherwell looks really good, easily Championship / lower Prem standard.

As for Buxton, well he's not got much better. I don't rate him at all, he's some how started though  really don't understand this. He turned out 2/3 utterly outstanding games last season, but was on the whole dog ****.

Yeah, we do have a pretty immense and loyal crowd at times :) always good fun being with Wednesdayites (such negative people :D)

As for History :) Yeah, it's nice but grates on me as I'd love to see us back challenging for things, but we actually have no money.

Football has a way of coming back around. Stoke are finally back were they use to be im sure wednesday will to.

As for Whelan well its mr play 4 shocking games in a row and then put in a blinder. Persona;y dont think he should be in the first 11 for a premiership player but wouldnt mind him as a backup. His passing ability is vastly overrated but he has a wicked shot.

Im suprised Tudgay is in league one now and has not been tempted away. I think if it was any other " normal" ;eague 1 side he would have gone.

Was tom soares any good last season? Hes played like 5 games for us and he was amazing in the first few and thenvanished. Had a a blinder against spurs.

Thats one thing that confuses me as premiership club we have spent

3.5 mill on kitson
1.5 mill on soares
1.5 mill on sonko
2 mill on tonge
2 mill on andrew davis

and all the above are pretty crap to be fair yet in the championship we were able to buy players like;

Higginbotham 300k
Shawcross 1 million (bargain tastic expect him to move next season for at least 12 mill)
Fuller 500k
Lawrence 500k
Delap 400k

all much cheaper and miles better than the premiership lot. Just shows how much you can get ripped off if the premiership

Ricardo fuller is probably the BEST ever stoke signing in my life time. Such a legend

Glenn was immense for us, ran out midfield at times. His passing isn't "amazing" but it's far from poor, he just imho, doesn't have the vision to really be that amazing shifting the game in to attack. Aye, he scored a couple for us that were nice :D lethal shot, hits 'em with real venom.

Fuller is a good player, impresses me at Stoke, I'm *really* not a Stoke fan, their style of football really annoys me (no offence :p)

Kitson is awful :D

Soares looked okay, he played quite a few times, works hard, tough and has balls of steel (really wasn't afraid to give as good as he got, which for us was good as we lacked that bite in midfield), he was average, not outstanding, but gave a couple of real stand out perfromances, imo, not good enough for the Prem, but maybe a decent back up but could really do with a run of games in the Championship.

Tudgay is a good player, I'd go out on a limb and say he'd easily do a job for a lower prem / top championship club. Blackpool made two offers! Second was less then the first :D :o

He's loyal, or I like to think so, seems settled at the club and him and the players that have been there a while get on very well. He gives 120 % week in week out and would play with one leg given the chance I'm sure. Was a walking injury for the back end of last season but kept going.

Aye, would be nice to get rid of our debt tbh, 27 Million in debt. Wish we'd get some youngster that City would be daft enough to fork out 30 million for :(

I trust the manager (first manager since little Paul, he was such a nice bloke and decent manager with us), I think given time he will get us back to the championship and a decent side, I think to step up we'd need some money and a "better" manager :)

No offence taken :D

We are trying to play a bit better we are bringing more footballers in like eidur, wilson and pennant, tuncay and ethrington but like Pulis says he wont change style over night but he sees stoke as a long term project to evolve into to a top 10 club.

Fair play to Pulis if that's what he's aiming for.

I like Tuncay :)

Etherington seems decent, I've always thought he would be lethal if he could shift a bit quicker :p

Delap ? (spelling) I dislike him. A lot. The whole long throw :(

Eidur could turn out to be a steal and a great bit of exprience and a "footballer" for you lot. Think Stoke's problem is that... well your Stoke :p

London / Manchester = You are not :p

I think you'd probably be able to bring in some decent youngsters if you ... well weren't Stoke, I think Pulis is a decent coach and younger players would probably enjoy him if that makes sense, or what I'm trying to get at makes sense :p

*note to self, Polish Vodka is lethal :(

You see this is where we are moving foward. We have SERIOUS financial power now (dont think people realise our chairmen owns bet365 one of the biggest growing companys in Europe not just the Uk) and have just finished our 7 million pound training facility.

The academy has had a revamp and we have taken a lad called cuvellar sp? from Portsmouth (16 or 17) who is highly regarded (beating man city and spurs to his signature)

also getting the young GK begovic ahead of spurs shows we are able to start bringing in better youngsters. Getting Shawcross at 19 for a million was amazing business aswell

Its a slow process but its happening. Stoke is a dump and no footballer will live her but geography helps here a lot only 40 mins from manchester and birmingham. Most of our players will be living in cheshire.

I consider stoke my 2nd team () and i follow them quite a lot..been a few games due to my uncle having a box
I reckon for the money/reputation you have done really well this year, If you can get Etherington and Pennat firing the crosses in then Jones has got to put some away...

Don't you actually live in Stoke?
Me?..I live in London..my dads family is from Stoke so im there a lot seeing family and i go in my uncles box if theres a good game on if im there-dad was born there but moved to manchester when he was young (why i support city)...I was born in blackpool but only lived there for a few years so i still follow them and were proud when they went up.

Before you edited your post you said you lived in Blackpool for a year, so was it a year or a few years? :p

By the way I think I speak for all of us when I say thankfully there's some real football on the coming weekend, I really dislike Internationals.

I love International football :p

Just hate the "ENGERLAND" bull that happens everytime our average national side play (Yes I know your Welsh Kill).

I really don't like games mid season. Have a break at Christmas and play a few, have a some in the summer.

Still, best thing about watching a crap Wednesday side is we don't have *many internationals :p

*have a few, well one. I think o.O

I just find Internationals dreary to watch, thank **** I'm not Swiss otherwise I'd probably sleep through every one of their games. Although didn't they just beat Spain? I know that isn't transfer related news but hey, there's bugger all going on at the moment what with the window shut and the interlull. Loving all your new sigs btw. Perry... mmmmmm

Box's are crazy expensive now though, my old man is a big city supporter and used to go a lot when they first moved to the Brit. Sure he said the price they paid for the season is basically the same per game now.
