New top down RPG based on and endorsed by Wizards of the Coast the D&D owners.

Well, I've pre-ordered (missed out on the GMG discount). Just started playing Pillars of Eternity and have Divinity lined up, should hopefully keep me busy during the Winter months.

Thought this looked really good until I saw the inventory management screen. Now I am worried it's going to be dumbed down and too basic

(In the games defence, I have only watched some videos so this may not be the case at all)

I have a feeling it will be slightly "dumber" than a Baldurs gate, but this was inevitable with an online mode, cant have constant pausing.

I must admit this has me tempted. I am yearning for a good dungeon crawler. I really enjoyed the gauntlet remake, and I like the idea of something a bit more complex.

For anyone who has pre-ordered you will need to create a sword coast account on their website & link your steam account to allow you to access the pre-release this weekend.
I took a punt on this after watching some official streams on Youtube fingers crossed its as good as it looks.

Have folks been buying the standard edition or the digital deluxe? There's a 23% discount code for GMG at the moment, it makes the digital deluxe version £35 instead of £45. I'm unsure what the extras actually are, let alone whether they're even worth the extra money.

Does anyone know when Steam will allow you to download this for the weekend? Also is it the full game you have access too?

If you have pre-ordered via steam & have registered on swordcoast.com (see me previous post above) then you should be able to download the game already which is the full version I think (not 100% on that).

haven't received my key yet, but it does say 2PM EST which is 7PM for us.
really hope this is the successor of DAO

I think its closer to the old Neverwinter knights games than DAO from what I have seen
