My opinion, I'm not forming it on reviews...I didn't say that. You asked what I meant by empty.

I've played it plenty. Splinter Cells game world isn't empty...the scenarios don't allow for it to really feel that way. Although if you take the opening of Conviction, it's got one of the most populated / realistic setting you could care to mention.

Completely different settings and times. Thief is ment to capture the dirty, rugged and dark times. and it does it very well.

Shankly loves it so much, he has played it less than me :p

You played it before the TrueAudio Patch I only started playing it the other week after I completed Shadow warrior.

Because I have played enough already. Just been in part of the map and had about 10 guards plus couple others walking the streets etc.
If yyou get seen they call for more backup and make it even harder to progress.

Am not sure what setting you guys picked maybe easy?

From what I have read on this game after all hype I am going to skip it, same no doubt with Watchdogs, I heard it does not even look the same as initially (bit like the very 1st Crysis pics).

It's true the games graphics at times can look a little dated, but again at times it can look stunning. The best thing of this game Graphic wise is the Lighting its truly stunning.

Not a good game at all. AMD picked another sucker to showcase tech on.

I Have now Jumped off the AMD boat tbh and been rescued by the NVIDIA Gigabyte 780 TI windforce boat. Thief kind of helped to make that decision.

Could not be happier. Less noise, better performance (in the games i Play Batman etc.) Have to say some of the Game Works stuff is awesome. Id rather have PhysX, TXAA etc than mantle thus far.

I'm not digging at AMD, but for me personally going back to NVIDIA i just feel AMD are always "a day late & a dollar short" every time. The 290X is brutal card, I mean it really does trade blows with a Titan and TI's but it all just feels in vain.

Also I see NVIDIA getting into bed with MS and DX12, more and more of the games I want/Play all seem to go with NVIDIA I just had to jump.

I enjoyed my time with AMD, but sadly going to back to playing games on NVIDIA i just feel like I'm back home again.

First 2 chapters in thief tend to bog down; but once you get past that the game really opens up and for me feels like old thief. Side missions to steal random items; with a couple brokers along with craziness of the insane asylum was freaking awesome.

Most of the problems lie in the first two chapters. They are fairly linear; and story doesn't get really interesting until past that.....then it gets tasty.

It also helps playing on master :) do something dumb and you pay for it......I've had to reload several times cause getting my butt handed to me for doing something dumb :) Now with Mantle god the game is so damn smooth; DX I'd get a lot of lag spikes as things bottoming out.....now nope :) its not game of the year; but its a lot of fun to play in.....still not been able to totally stealth through the bank.....yet :D

My guess most people was playing on Easy setting and the game is far less a challenge.
