If you felt like splashing out, why didn't you wait for the new 7 series cards to come out in like a week? Pretty bad time to build a new system imo. With the new 7 graphics cards, motherboards and cpu's coming out soon.

If i used your opinion all the time, i'd never end up buying anything! Always newer components around the corner. I thoroughly looked into the new components that are coming out. The 7 series card costs ways too much for the performance (there's a whole thread dedicated to it here), plus, with my resolution screen, i'd be better of running a pair of 6970s in crossfire.

Hey ho, nothing stopping me from buying new and better components when they arrive. However, this is the best system my money could buy me today.

Yeah sure if it was July or something but not January. :P 2x 6970 lightening is what? £350 each?
The new 7970's will be far superior and will cost only slightly more than what you paid for those overpriced 6970's. ;) If you had bought 2x second hand 6970's for £180 each off the MM I could understand but £350 each for a 6970 at this time of the year is mad.

Not really, its my money, and i spend it how and when i want to.

For your information, the cards didn't cost me £350 each, they were in fact £269 brand new each - which is a bargain. Try finding me a 7970 for that much.

Oh, each card came with Dirt 3 and Deus Ex (so four games in total) which i can sell and further reduce the cost of the cards. :)

Ooof, nice man.

Plus that monitor just looks GREAT (when there's no issues... ugh)

That keyboard also looks pretty nice. How is it? (Love my K750, but getting tired of how my ambient lighting doesn't seem to charge it properly)

I prefer the days of aluminium tbh:
