*****Official Things we BOUGHT in December Thread*****

Yeah, I keep having to put it in front of a desk lamp when I'm doing something else just so it won't eventually die on me. That, and the paino gloss scratchy scratch finish are the only things that bug me about it.

The chichlet style keys are awesome though.

Love the design of it, it's just hard to find another keyboard with a similar sort of design that doesn't suck.

Feel for you, although looks like a nice design. Glossy does look good.. when new lol! I was contemplating going for the ones with backlit keys, but then didn't really see the need in my case.

Are you looking for another keyboard then?

K750 glossy finish does scratch a bit over time but you only notice it in certain lighting conditions - Doesn't stop it looking amazing though. Over a year on, my one at work still looks excellent! For the price, I don't think there is a better designed or functional keyboard (yet).

My only gripe is that I wish it had a USB port that you could plug in a micro USB charge into for the times when you want to charge it at night when asleep etc as sometimes I forget to leave my blinds open when I leave for work. My home K750 is at 35% but last night I left it charging in front of a desk lamp :p

I would say I'm looking for a 'backup' keyboard. When the K750 eventually dies (It will, stupid ambient lighting) I'll need another one to use whilst it is charging. My all time fave keyboard has to be the logitech Illuminate one. Used it for years, but it's corded. Annoying. I could get used to the non chiclet design so it worked great.

I COULD get another K750, but don't have any Logitech discount codes.

Yeah, the usb port for charging would be brilliant. Similar to the Illuminate K800, although I tried that one out and didn't really like it. The buttons were weird. :o

The MK520 looks great though. Same style as the K800 without the illumination that kills the battery life... and that 3000. I just bet they will feel cheap.

Logitech original illuminated keyboard but without the wires plz. :D

Bought a nice shiny (well black plastic) Sony BDP-S380 Blu-Ray player that Audio-T region modded for me for nowt - cost £85

All to go with my nice new (which I bought in August) Sony 32" Bravia... which went pop 2 days later (the telly not the Blu-Ray player)... so I went back to Tesco where I bought my Telly for an exchange (which was such a faff to get even, as said, with the telly only being 2 n half months old!)...

Problem then was they had no replacement 32" Bravia's in stock (seems 32" TV's at crimbo are very popular!!), so I put the £50 Cashback I got from Sony for the 32" plus a little extra down on the 40" version and wandered out the store a much happier (if a little poorer) bunny!! :D

Aye I did some research too and tried a few cases and returned them. I upgraded from a Lian-Li to the 650D (helps that an OcUK competitor lives 15mins away :p).

I've grown out of the extroverted case design phase I guess, less shiny lights, more minimalistic and professional design with big features.

I do remember the cold cathode case light days though

It must be your age! hehe! But no, the 650D is a good case overall. I hate cathodes too :)

I have just ordered a 45"x30" poster print of one of my photos:

Came to £8.00 after various discounts were applied that I had dormant on my Photobox account.

Bargain.

Until I saw the custom frame size prices I'd need lol, £55 for a suitable black bezel modern frame with shatter proof glass o.0

Anyone got any recommendations on framing places? :D

I was expecting to save only 10% as I was using one of the winter codes that expire today until I went into the basket and saw an additional credit of £20 being applied :D

I need to find a damn frame now though for this size!

£55 for a frame that size with glass is a absolute bargain. For a comparison, I got a bespoke frame made for a 24x16" with a 2 inch mount and non reflective glass has set me back £157.

Canon - 5D Mk2
Nikon - D7000

Although the best bet is to wait a while, both companies are due an upgrade for the mid/high end.

Ouch!

I bought an A3 frame with mount and glass for £14!

The print itself was £22, museum quality grade paper fine art print. Its expensive because it is bespoke, pick the frame that I want, the mounting (colour, size) that I want. The whole thing will come back sealed so it will be one of a kind.

It should look really good when it comes back :)

Oh yeah, I understand why. In total mine was about £30 including the print and frame, but of course it's not custom (just one of my photos on high quality paper and an ok frame).
