But can't WiFi 7 saturate a 2.5g backhaul?

Yes, but it’s unlikely you’d notice because the speeds are so immense. Can you notice that you’re sharing a 1GbE connection with your WiFi6 connection? It’s done so well that you can have 3 or 4 clients all seemingly getting 700-800Mbps on a 1GbE connection. WiFi6,, 6E and 7 are all still simplex protocols so a 2.5GbE connection appears to handle 5GbE worth of traffic on a client.

Anyone have any real world experiences yet with the U7 Pro? Really debating going for one, bit of an itch... :D

I’ve tested it with Intel BE200 and BE202 network cards and you can get duplex transfer rates in excess of 1.7Gbps in the same room as the access point but put a wall or floor between them and you’re looking at less than half that and you drop back to 5GHz WiFi6. And remember, it’s only 2x2 and it’s technically still unlicensed in the UK. The Enterprise access points actually work with clients you can buy today Intel AX211 etc. and bear in mind that for both WiFi6E and WiFi7 you’ll need a switch upgrade to Pro Max or Enterprise if you want the full speed within the UniFi ecosystem.

Got myself the Dream Machine SE over the weekend. So far so good but I cant get the my PiHole to work with it.

I have pointed the DNS in the Network and the Gateway config to the PiHole IP address, as mentioned on their forums. The PiHole is receiving traffic but none of the devices get an internet connection apart from the PiHole.

Anyone else got this working?

Do your client machines receive the correct DNS server in their DHCP config - and can they resolve addresses via the pihole?

From the UK store? Interested to know the PSU they ship, I know it's a glorified Raspberry PI PSU etc.
They didn't have them in stock on the UK store, and ordering from elsewhere (a UK company) was a bit cheaper than the EU store, will wait and see what mine comes with.

Confirmed

“Legend”. Meh. I was happy when Robert hired him and got him away from pfsense.
