I have a standard Openreach modem, no commandline configuration required. I just selected pppoe as the connection type in the USG and gave it my login details.

Will the US-8-60W power a UAP Pro, controller and USG? What about if I added more kit later? Or should I get the 150W one?

Which is fine for an internet connection, but this is to be able to log onto the modem to look at stats.

Well, I've gone for the 150W switch as well as a USG. I think it has enough ports to connect all of my items as my Cisco switch is far less used than I thought:

Code:
Port Type Duplex Speed Neg ctrl State Pressure Mode
-------- ------------ ------ ----- -------- ---- ----------- -------- -------
gi1 1G-Copper Full 1000 Enabled Off Up Disabled Off
gi2 1G-Copper Full 1000 Enabled Off Up Disabled On
gi3 1G-Copper -- -- -- -- Down -- --
gi4 1G-Copper -- -- -- -- Down -- --
gi5 1G-Copper -- -- -- -- Down -- --
gi6 1G-Copper -- -- -- -- Down -- --
gi7 1G-Copper Full 1000 Enabled Off Up Disabled Off
gi8 1G-Copper -- -- -- -- Down -- --
gi9 1G-Combo-C Full 1000 Enabled Off Up Disabled On
gi10 1G-Combo-C Full 1000 Enabled Off Up Disabled On

The other switch is an 8 port TP link with PoE which has a couple of ports free.

The US-8-150W is (I have 3 of them) and I would be amazed if the US-8-60W wasn't too.

Apparently the fan in the US-16-150W isn't always on but if can spin up when required so I wouldn't call it silent.

Fitted my US-8-60W and 2 port LACP'd it to my US-24.

USG updated to 4.4.14 and upgrading the 300+ APs in work overnight :)

They are all far enough apart to stay on full power. A large number of them are the 2.4ghz only, UAP model.
