I like Philip Harald Frentzen. Should it appear in the game then it shall be so!

And yes, unknown stranger, it is a 109 engined Spitfire. Some call it the Spitmess, others the Messerschpitt. Obviously, a Spitfire captured by Nazi forces and reengineered by Messerschmitt to run on one of their powerplants.

It shared the grey and yellow colouring of the classic 109. Looked rather good IMO.
 
Update.
The spit was a Vb type. It was modified with a 109 engine in a bf110 cowling modified with the 109s carburetor air scoop. No armament was fitted.
The unit was used for testing and comparison by the Nazi Engineers, and was frequently flown by their test pilots simply because they really liked its flight characteristics.
It was lost in August 1944 when a flight of B17s bombed out the base it was flying from. The remains were scrapped.

The original pilot was a member of the Free French air forces based in England during the war. He was forced to land when flak took out his radio and fuel lines as he was looking for targets of opportunity with his wingman, who lost sight of him at that time. He tried to make the Isle of Wight, but without radio assistance ended up on occupied Jersey, where he did his best to destroy vital components before being captured.

Unfortunately the brave lad was part of the group of POW's that Hitler ordered shot after they were involved in an escape from their POW camp. This was, and remains, an illegal act under international law. The escape, and the murder of some of the soldiers involved, was immortalised in the film The Great Escape.

I love my heavy metal and I'm not gonna lie, tad disappointed theres no avro shackleton, or even an avro lincon (which is basically a lancaster mkIV) on there but otherwise good stuff. The Halifax should be an interesting one to try out, dive on that thing and get 8x7.7s in your face...

Also the Whirlwind should be a good one if teired right. Supposedly one of the best twin fighter/bombers of the early war, deadly at low level. Never saw large scale use because it used some funny rolls engine which had availability issues.

I just got the millt Mig3 pack for a few quid - and added the mig3-35 to my russian line up.

Wow, how many guns has that thing got!!! And it flys really nicely!!

Almost got all the American T2 planes unlocked now, just need to do the Aircobra and the Lighting which I can't wait for

Then its time to work on the T3 planes PJY-1 here I come.

Though the large ammount of want for more OP russian rubbish is stronk

What I REALLY want is the Hurricane IIc, which will be epic and Gaijin are scared to implement because it will dethrone the Russians as the best country in the game. Girls...

I was on last night, although only around 10 - 11:30ish. May be on again tonight, if I get my bike fixed up in time. :p
