Went for the easy 2.3 br.

decided I'm staying at br 2.0 and below for most now.

Especially my Brit's. Got the Hurryderp reload down to 12 seconds now ;) and got a new PB with it 10 kill streak :) I've found my golden plane :)

Air to air frag rounds and just be patiant. So many 1 shot's

Do you find it struggles with killing biplanes? I've put air shells straight through them and not killed them.

Need a few more upgrades on it, but it is a cracking little plane :p

It's crap. I unlocked it and was disappointed by the lack of airbrakes, it doesn't seem like they implemented them since it was the first thing I tried, just nothing happened (unless I have made a mistake somewhere). Also, max 2 x 500lb and at a similar BR the P47 makes waaay more sense.

This is just not true. I don't know what you did, but the airbrakes on mine work just fine. I slung it out for two battles lastnight and they worked, as did the bombing, and once your bombs are gone she turns into a nimble little fighter. With the airbrakes you can even pull the old "I'll hit the airbrakes and they'll fly right by" trick.
Yes the P47 packs a larger punch, but I see them dropping the BR of the apache to 2.3 or 2.7.

RB or Arcade? :)

Amazingly not so with these frag rounds. :)

the standard stuff yes, but the frag ones work really well

The biplanes are a little tricky but a couple a spray shot's and they disintergrate :)

Yup, found the airbrakes. Quite useful for diving bombing. Otherwise the plane is trash, I've noticed you have to be very gentle with it, even at 300kph it has a habit of stalling with a heavy application of the elevators. I'm wondering if it might be passable once upgraded...

What tier are you fighting it in? It's only a 3.0! I've had it in all kinds of battles now and found it to be quite capable. Don't get me wrong, its no Spitfire 2B, but the 50cals nibble away at a decent rate, especially with the down-the-nose pair.
I've tried the dive brakes for bombing, and am not sold on their effectiveness. They WORK, physically; but you are then dropping at low speed in a predictable way as you aim, and over enemy territory. End result = You die. Better to boom in at an angle, drop, and legit out.

I just find the handling terrible at low speeds but then its exactly the same for other P51's, this in itself is pretty crap for a ground attack plane imo. The Mustang Mk1A used to be a beast and handled like a dream until they tinkered with the flight model. The dive brakes work nicely if you come down straight on top of your target, they keep the speed nice and steady and at that sort of angle you can hit nicely. Thing is I find that if you leave dropping the bomb too late and try to pull up hard on the elevators the thing drops a wing heavily and stalls and you plough into the ground, this is even at speeds near 300kph!! :)
