******Official War Thunder Thread*******

Just been playing the tanks to be honest.
It's a really good game to play in between the big titles.

I rebuilt my machine about 5 times in a month so pretty much stopped playing BF Hardline. Then I completed GTA V. Was having a look for something new to play before Batman and remembered this.
Luckily I didn't buy Batman so I'm still on this for now :)

I think I spotted a Kwango playing at Dad O'Clock this morning. I am managing a quick game every morning before work. Get up, make tea, have a blast on War Thunder, then get ready. Problem is at 6am it's all those silly Muricans!

I was on this morning for a quick bash, also tend to be doing the same in the early hours when I'm downstairs and everyone else is asleep.

Quite possibly!! Pulled an allnighter to let mum have a full nights sleep. Played till about 04:30 then took her down and watched tv till about 9am, went to bed myself at 10am!!

I'm finding the German 6.0 BR tank lineup to be quite good fun at the moment, even though I've barely got parts for some of them!

2x Panthers and a Tiger - Panthers for all round speed, mobility, hitting power and a decent ability to bounce incoming shells, and a Tiger for if you need a bit more 'slugging' capability :D

Sadly I do seem to fight mostly 6.7's or higher with this lineup, but that seems to work out no matter what tanks I take, so these seem to be a pretty good combination.

I do love the massive smashing capability of the Russian big tanks, but that's also their biggest weakness. Go up against a pair of enemies, kill 1, then get killed. Get an injured loader, and wait half a match for a new shell to be in the barrel.

Just gets too annoying sometimes, because your team just sits in cover and waits for you to die, rather than helping out.

Yup, 5.7 and 6.0 with Germans is the sweet spot imo. Any higher isn't as much fun because you end up fighting cold war vehicles like T54's, so I spend most of my time with Panther D, Panther A and Tiger E (5.7, 6.0 and 6.0).

So by what twisted, retarded, vodka-swilling logic do me and Brainchild *NOT* get the Best Squad award in this particular battle?

We beat the 'best squad' on every possible count of everything - points, air kills, ground kills, the lot.

Oh yeah.... that's right.... Brain was running a wager. **** you Gaijin.
