But we got there :D B25 doom upon all enemies! Just need to get those big bombs now, not far off fully upgraded already :D

Defrag was rocking it last night too! Got me some good bomber escorts in this here squadron. Real shame we can only have 4 in a squad, if we could get more, then have a few bombers & a few escorts it would be brilliant.

Probably is something they will look into making larger in the future.

While it's not possible to get more than 4 in a squad, it is possible that multiple squads can end up in the same game. You need voice comm software like Mumble or TS3 and just simply count in together with the leader pressing the "Join Battle" button at the same time and getting into the same queue. We used to do this in our old clan, you can basically end up with pretty much an entire team of clan players vs randoms which makes for great teamwork if albeit a little unfair for the opposing team.

p.s. It was good to play with you two last night (Spangles & Tim) - was not planning on playing until 3am but was having too much fun to stop....damn you!!! :D
 
slowly grinding my way to the lancaster, but still feels along way off at half way through 13... keep getting distracted on level all factions to 10, just 1.5 to go on japs to get them all

I just got the B25, working on getting it's larger bomb load. The Lanc is next on my list, but I think it will just be a let down due to the tier it is at. Bit like the Mosquito, I love that damn plane, but it is too high tier, does not have the correct pay load, lacks it's real life performance and is generally just depressing :(

I worked my butt off to get to that level for that plane. Is a touch better in historical if you can keep the enemy away from you, or at least make sure there is enough distance so you can out run them. Should be able to hit 400mph at level flight like it did, but normally falls quite short of that.
 
I only had time for two games last night but I hope to be on tonight for some combat in the Squadron. Might even bring out the "Boh-Fort" again what-ho.
Otherwise I will be working up to the highest Wellington....

I certainly hadn't planned on playing that long, but once I saw the way the enemy kept dying whenever they got close to Delboy things changed.
Managed to up my game some and had my best round so far.
We had loads of rounds where we filled the top 3 spots in our team, so didn't feel like stopping.

I must spend some time getting my US planes up to 6-7, only halfway through 4 at the moment and they are so crap at this level.

aye the american planes tier 1-4ish are so poor, even boring. wait to you unlock those airacobras though........damn they are fun
 
Yeah the Aircobras are my reason for leveling up the US. There are one or two other American planes I'd like to try but really I want to try flying the Aircobra.
I've already got the Hellcat in my British line up so the other main one is the Havoc with which I'm sure I can make a lot more.
 
Good games again last night, enjoying the squad play, wingman escorts and awesome cover, jolly good show, what what. :)

Yeah, love the Typhoons - not real turners but if you know how to fly them and predict the enemies flight paths its real easy to rack up lots of kills.

Here's me in action :)


I think the biggest key to any success in racking up kills is:-

1. Predict the flight path of the enemy fighter and shoot slightly ahead of the indicated marker and bring the gun slowly into them.
2. Have a height advantage over your enemy, even if its only a couple of hundred meters.
3. Keep your head on a swivel, constantly scanning behind and above for fighters coming at you.
4. Play with a good squad providing cover for each other.
5. If you're being chased, don't turn (unless your wingman indicates it!) fly low, fast and make small 'twitch' movements to throw off their aim. Heading back to friendly territory of course.

Anyone playing this with a Saitek AV8R? Downloaded last night and was trying to get the stick set up for it. No matter what I do the tutorial plane starts upside down and I can't seem to get the hat stick to do the view properly (or get the view to work at all, end up only seeing the pilots legs!).
 
Erm Delboy? Where is the smoke trails? The sky was not filled in snot green vapour!
If you check your OcUK flight handbook, on page 15 it clearly says, "Smoke trails must be present and the colour is Snot Green."
I will tell Kwango and he can fly on your tail and check. And when I say on you tail, it probably will be ON.

Yeah, sorry this was during my time in -NUKED-, no such snot green smoke trails present in their handbook! :D

no problem, only 1 thing though. need your mate to post up in here himself. if he doesn't already have a forum account tell just to set one up and pop in and say hello and state his in game name.

logic behind that is that we want to keep the squad to OcUK forum members, plus the banter in here is nearly as good as in the game....only I can't swear in here and I tend to swear just a little bit in game.....just a little bit mind you:p
