just for added fun the TB-3 which is the gift for winners of the challenge will have a 5000kg bomb load.
At tier 1.
So I assume it to be a H6K performing aircraft that can carry YER-2 sized loads.

My beautiful XP-50 has been stealth-bumped up to battle rating 4.7 and made tier 3.
Bit of a waste of money buying it, it won't last long at that level.
Starting to get a bit sick of each patch gradually spoiling more and more aspects of this game... at least it's not a monthly subscription I suppose.

if i had payed real money (golden eagles) for a plane at a certain level and they decided to bump it up i'd be asking for the money back, can't see how they could refuse a refund to be honest
Because it's an "open beta" and they can do whatever the smeg you like.
All that'll happen is it'll make me even more cautious in future about buying planes, which can only be to their detriment.
Also, from browsing the forum it appears that the challenge reward XF5F plane is incorrectly armed, being given 2x .50 cal and 2x .30cal, and being assigned a battle rating of 4.7. It has the same weight of fire as a T1 Chaika! ROFL

So yeah XP50 has been swapped for no good reason, cos the Ascender is just as overpowered at tier 2, but costs 3 times as much gold eagles.
Also research point costs have gone UP in arcade mode! So if you had any aircraft unlock but not paid for you now have to do the extra research, WTF!
The amount of bombs needed to destroy the enemy base in all game modes increased in high level battles (solving the problem of bombers 'rushing' the base). Rewards for destroying the base increased correspondingly.
Well fun is over.

Me and Boycey had a couple of goes at historical last night, was good fun but not overly successful. Would be cool having a whole squad flying in formation in the Hurricanes with rockets, with a bit of practice the ground targets would be doomed!

It is, not on your own though, only way it is really effective is if a group of us do it, and none of the enemy cottons on.

Anyone else having any issue getting the game to save your interface settings? ive turned ammo indicator and engine to always on, but everytime i open the game they are back to auto.
Yep I see the same thing.
This patch hasn't really fixed anything, base rushing is still viable, match making is still broken and the grind to unlock new planes is awful (coming from someone who was still only tier2 when the 1.37 patch was released).
[Edit] And tier2 now seems to be filled with stuff with massive cannons, that Yak9T and i-185 are lethal!

Only had a couple of battles yesterday, but still enjoying it. No base rushing noticed tho.
I splurged 300k lions on 2 P47s and an F4U for Yanky tier 3, only to then find my hard-won Xf5f was available but needed 74k lions to put a pilot in it. Rage was not the word.
Anyone flown that yet? Or the TB3?

Overkill is enjoying his TB3, although you cant call it 'rushing' at the speed that thing flies!

tb3 - very very slow, turns/ moves slow
seems to have low health, even though its fully pimped out, just dies real quick
the turrets are awesome on it, similar to the rear gunner on ju87, if theres a plane say at the side of you 3 turrets will move and shoot it and they seem to hit more accurately aswel, even though i dont have many points in crew skills
havnt tried xpf joby yet
but if flying the tb3 you will need a lot of cover and a lot of time before you reach a base lol
