******Official War Thunder Thread*******

Thinking of popping out for a bottle of Cpt Morgans in a bit, thus providing the fuel needed for some 1337 flying skills this evening. Anyone else participating?
 
Didn't know there was a thread on here, been enjoying this game for a while now. Just realised i can get ~100fps in wine on "movie" using opengl :D

There is a pretty good group of us on team speak most nights Perma, just search for the squadron in game and apply if your not with anyone else. Most of us are around the same point as you there, getting tier 4's nearly finished / researched.

Right, War Thunder official annoucement,

Me and Boycey have been discussing our little meet up possibility and we have decided to set a date. We shall be staying in Cambridge from May 16th to May 18th.

This will basically be the plan, everyone can travel up on the 16th and we all have a few beers that night. On the 17th we are going to hit up RAF Duxford and go and visit the museum for the day, this will then lead on to us hitting up the city of Cambridge and us finding some posh totty to molest on the night. Depending on whether you manage to get yourself married off or not on the night, we can then return to the hotel for a night of sleep and comfort.

This should result is us all being relatively sober and safe for the drive home on the 18th - 19th which is happy days for all. This will require communication and direction from everyone but I am sure we can sort it. Boycey said he can fly Kwango & Kutter in via chinook, if not we can pick them up from airports :)

I have taken it upon myself to volunteer to pick up Essex, which is the biggest and most committed thing anyone can do in this time.

Boycey is on tour for 2 months shortly so we have to wait for him to come back otherwise there will be no feminism within the place.

If anyone is interested, and I hope you are, no matter the distance, please either mention it here or contact me at [email protected] or [email protected] (first is me, 2nd is Boyce) and we can go from there.

sadly i wont be able to get back to the UK this year.

On a side note TS stopped working in game today for some reason? it works when i alt tab out but not in any games.
 
So the Vickers P is... different. I feel like it could be a beast if you learned how to fly it properly, or if you ever get that map with all the light pillboxes, but as it is i just seem to take out one or two medium tanks and either get shot down because i'm fannying about at low altitude or crash into a tree because i'm fannying about at low altitude.
 
In my opinion the best time to play Warthunder is around 2 till 6 am

I know most people cant do that but if you can deal with 3 or 4 hours sleep like me then do it.

At these times you got players that are tired and arent focused because compared in the day time to early morning i get more kills and very easily. Its like im imvisible, none of em come for me.
 
Hey Essex! I just got your message sorry was mucking about with driver updates etc and all that, just wanted to check if the game was still working. Will be about tomorrow hopefully :)
 
I'm going to have a series of wing patterns spread across my planes wings, because it's clearly original and nobody else will have thought of it ;)

I am thinking it is time we made some more vids for YouTube showing our 1337 skillz (note the z, ppl!). Obviously they will need heavy editing to cut out all the dying, but we can manage that. Rev Billy G seems to have some skill in this area. Anyone else up for it? And, Rev, are you able to lend a hand?
Mostly I was thinking about making vids showing advanced skills, like BnZ, well-executed turn fighting, how to use bombers in defensive formations, how to cover bombers, flying in teams, recovering to an airfield if you're damaged or have no engine (EssexCartel might do that one), and, naturally, flying boat domination matches! The aim of this would be to help people learning WT, but also to show off how good we are ;)

What do you think?
