I and Mr.Matt_FSR got to wonder around an Aircraft museum recently, and got to see their toy Vulcan. We were chatting to an exhibit manager when he mentioned that the Vulcans, if snowed on heavily and not anchored at the nose wheel, would happily pull a standing wheelie, and their one had done just that a few years back. Unbelieving, I did a google search. I found this:

Also, I got to go into the cockpit, fullfilling a longstanding dream of mine. It was tiny. Like, midget sized. I would not have been able to sit in the pilot seat, my legs wouldnt have allowed it. But it was very cool!
 
right guys, gaijin has fuxed up yet again!
i am getting freezes/slow downs in game constantly, i cant play like this!
lets hope they do another update soon

latest patch notes......

•Sounds in tutorial have been fixed. Reduced music volume when instructor is speaking.

•Fixed first country and vehicle selection for new players.

•Rearm ammunition during respawn on tank battles has been fixed.

•Added warnings when control keys have not been assigned.

•Some text fixes.

•Fixed issue when ‘auto-connect’ option wasn’t saved.

•Some interface fixes.

•Several client crashes have been fixed

and as overkill has said....possible fps drops!!
 
I had no idea there was such a big following for War Thunder here, I have been playing about 3 weeks now, a bit obsessively if anything (as I always do when I first get into a game).

The first I knew about OcUK interest in War Thunder came tonight, when I noticed a chap by the name of [OcUK]Matt_fsr when he shot me down in a clipped wing spitfire! ... I was flying Japanese at the time, probably a Zero.

However, the same game I crashed hard into the ground as my fps plummeted to nothing, as has been happening since today's patch. Looks like Gaijin know about it, I hope they do something about it in the next 24 hours at the most, as I have the week off work and thus I have paid for a premium account for the week, I do not want to waste it ....the massive fps drops make it rather ....annoying to say the least.

Matt will be pleased to see this! To be honest the fps drops while annoying have not ruined my game, they occur for everyone at the same time in-game so technically you're not at a disadvantage.

Anyway please apply to the squad, otherwise we'll just have to continue shooting you down :)

e: I tried my best, cannot for the life of me find a GIF from Ali G indahouse of Martin Freeman saying 'we iz experts', but that sums up our tank exploits.

Yeah I've been getting that, only since the last patch though so hopefully they'll fix it shortly.

I haven't been flying my BR 5.0 - 5.3 stuff much of late if I'm honest, I just fancied some massive firepower fights, which I find ends up a bit of a trading 1-for-1 kills a lot of the time. Might get better once I get stealth ammo for everything that needs it, and a few more upgrades.

The Griffon Spitfire Mk22 is epic, currently working on unlocking the Mk24 and getting upgrades for the Mk22. Perhaps after last night's "pour la France" themed realistic fun I should give it a bash in realistic!
