****** Official World of Tanks OcUK Clan ******

If I buy an empty Russian Tank will the Russian crew of my other Tank automatically be able to drive it or do I need to train them ?

and if i need to train them do I pay Gold or Silver ?

My crew for the T-50 are all 80 + % I wouldn't mind using them for the T-50 mark 2 when I eventually unlock it (sometime early Summer :p).

Apologies if this has been mentioned before but is there a way limit the fps in the garage? The fans on my GC really spin up and was just wondering if there was an easy fix? I dont think Vsync is the answer, as that would detriment the entire game?

There is a known bug that increases your GPU load to 100% while in garage.

A crew member is always trained for a specific vehicle. Should a crewman operate a vehicle that he is not trained for, he may receive a penalty to his training level. This is indicated by the training level being colored red in the garage screen. A penalty received for the following situations:

If a crew member is in a vehicle of the same class, and the vehicle is a premium vehicle, there is no penalty.
If a crew member is in a vehicle of the same class, and the vehicle is not a premium vehicle, he will take a 25% penalty to his current training level. So, for example, 80% base training level will be reduced to 60%, or 100% base training level will be reduced to 75%.
If a crew member is in a vehicle of a different class, and the vehicle is a premium vehicle, he will also take a 25% penalty to his current training level.
If a crew member is in a vehicle of a different class, and the vehicle is not a premium vehicle, he will take a 50% penalty to his current training level. So, for example, an 80% crew will be reduced to 40% base training level, while a 100% crew will reduced to 50% base training level.

Experience gain for each crew member is also reduced under these conditions.

As above, but simplified...

1. You can only transfer crew from one tank into another if they are from the same nation. So, you'll be fine moving T-50 crew into a T-50-2.

2. If you sell the previous tank don't forget to send the crew to barracks first!

3. Buy your new tank without crew.

4. Click on the crew symbols on the left hand side and it will show you crew that can be transferred from your barracks to the new tank.

5. Select the relevant crew member for each class - commander, driver, gunner, radio operator etc.

6. You'll notice that each crew member has received a penalty, you can see that the percentage trained is in red.

7. Right click each crew member in turn and select the Personal File > Training tab. You need to train them for the new tank. Select the correct tank class (light/med/heavy) and the list of tanks appears in the drop down list.

8. Select the new tank (T-50-2) in this case and it gives you a choice on how much you want to pay to train them. I can't remember the exact percentages without checking but its something like, FREE = 80%, 20,000 silver = 90% and 200 gold = 100%. The percentage indicates a drop from their current training level - not what they are going to be when you've applied the training (unless they are at 100% already!).

If you have a 100% crew with say, 2 extra skills - it seems to me that the skills still are effective. I had a 90% base crew skill with Sixth Sense and it was still working - even though the crew were not at 100% again. So any skills learning seem to remain. Unless its a bug they've now fixed!

It's also worth noting that from time to time they do special offers of half price retraining. I use these a lot when I'm switching crew around. So a 100% crew would only cost 100 gold.

Oh, if you have a premium tank for that nation, a lot of us train a crew up quickly using that, then transfer them into higher tier tanks. A prem tank gains xp and credits quicker than regular tanks. I have 5 skills on my type 59 but until recently didn't have any chinese tanks to move them into - think I'll save them for a tier x! :)

you are doing it the other way around right?

Like putting your Maus crew into your Lowe? AS there is no penalty for this. Its cheaper than converting your Lowe crew to a Maus.

I do for other nations, but didn't have a choice with the Type 59 (until now)!

Is the gold ammo situation still stupid or is it calming down a bit ???

Been playing war thunder for the last week - loving it :-)

To be honest I don't think it is too much of an issue. It doesn't annoy me quite so much when people are using Premium ammo anymore as it is available to everyone equally.

It's not changed to my knowledge either.

With regards to crew, the Lowe only has 5 crew members, both the Maus and E100 have 6. :(

However in the case of the IS6, it's probably worth me putting the current IS6 crew in the barracks and moving the is4 crew over to the is6, and moving them back later.

Shame - I didn't grind my T10 HTs and TDs to have T8 tanks put shells through the front of them at will. Everything was carefully balanced until WG decided to introduce 'easy mode' for people prepared to pay for it.

It also shows in that the number of idiots has gone up - people TKing, pushing you out of over and ramming/bumping.

They know full well that people will pay gold for premium tanks to earn credits if they are spending all that money on 'noob' ammo as Abbyabz calls it.

Back to War Thunder for me....

Out of interest - I know it's against the WG rules but where would I sell my WoT account if I wanted to ?

If you run premium ammo 100% of the time, unless you have fantastic success in every single game you play you are going to make massive losses. I tried this as an experiment and even with a premium account I was hemorrhaging credits at a phenomonal rate. It's just not economically viable. I keep some premium rounds in my tanks but rarely use them (except the T92 - nothing beats 14 meters of splash damage!)

The accounts are tied into your email account so unless you sell it with the entire email account as well then the buyer could be in a bad position. To change that I have heard is almost not worth the hassle.

WG have gone out of their way to make selling accounts difficult. Best way would probably be to sell it within clan or friends.

Id never buy anything like that from eBay or the like. Too risky.

If you are going to do this I would leave the OcUK clan too, that way the buyer does not instantly get Deputy Commander power within the clan.

Defrag = T92 Arty Noob! 14m splash damage, now how can anyone call themselves good when they use that? :p

The problem isn't changing the email address, it's getting a buyer who'll trust you to complete the process honestly.

I changed my email due to problems with the old email provider, and I had to send them full payment details of every time I bought gold, the ISP I used to sign up with, the country I was in when I signed up.

They then transferred the account, and made me use the recover password feature to get access to it.
