I've been playing WoT for getting on for 2 years now. In all honesty it seems far less balanced than it did. They have taken a game that required a bit of skill and knowledge and turned it into a game more suited for window licking spaktards.

1) Nerfing arty - death by arty is either unlucky or deserved. Why nerf it ? Just limit the number in a game....

2) "Gold" ammo for credits and the 1/2 price sale - click to win. Why did I bother grinding my IS4/E100/Maus ? A idiot just points at the front of my tank and pens it. The ONLY advantage these tanks have is armour and it has all been taken away.

3) Game play - you get rewarded for bad behaviour. The number of times I get killed by arty when safely behind a lone TD is mad. The number of idiots pushing you out from cover, bumping you cos they want the cover etc is increasing.

It is all about the money - WG are a victim of their own success, they should reward the community that got them there. Not the gold using noobs.

I have not renewed my premium account as I have just got sick of it.

I have spent the last week playing war thunder. It is in open beta and rocks. You get rewarded for helping team-mates. At the moment it is all aircraft, but they plan to introduce tanks etc and you can see how it will really work !

You can definitely tell the difference in higher tier games. Got into a tier 8 game last night with it and usually I can still hold my own, but the gun declination change has reduced range by about 10% for an already short range arty and the shell flight time has been nerfed badly - this wasn't in the patch notes but it was massively noticable and others have been commenting on it.

Also ran out of ammo when I was trying to reset cap - we had more tanks than them so probably would have won if I had the extra 4 shells.

If WarThunder introduce other combat than Air before WG fix the problems then i am with you on that, and will also ditch World of Tanks.

My biggest issue at the moment with World of Tanks is TierX matches always consisting of 3+ arty per team. Reducing the game to camping as everyone is scared to poke out.

Gold ammo i can live with as it was always there before, sure in lesser numbers but it means the playing field is leveled now and its not just the reserve of some ClanWars elite.

Gold ammo should never have been in the game - the more I think about it, the more retarded it becomes. I very rarely play my IS4 anymore, used to enjoy driving that around, angling it and watching people bounce time after time.....now, everyone in T10 has gold and goes through it like butter. That being said, T10 is a waste of time in almost any tank now, just an arty yak smash.

As for being able to get it with credits, every nob out there has it now. I preferred it before, at least I could take a reasonable guess who was going to have it, and who was not.

Unfortunately, it's never going to go.
 
Which is why they will lose players...

It's mad - I have a T10 tank with a 280mm pen gun that does 450 damage but it fires once every 12 seconds.

I meet a nob in a T8 tank with gold. They can pen my armour and do 250 dmg BUT they can fire every 6 seconds.

There is just no point....

I might even think about selling my account to be honest...
 
I have played WOT for 18months and just found this thread :)

I've focused on the US tree and had the follow reach elite in my garage.
M4 : M4A3E2 : M4A3E8 : Lee
Plus these tanks currently being worked
M6 : HellCat : T20 (Still play M4 & M4A3E8 for the credits!)

Any chance of joining a clan instead of taking a chance random matches?

there are some scandalous allegations being flung my way here, and i've only just started playing the game!! lol

actually i would do better if i did sit at the back, i usually the first muppet to show his face on the battle field!!

It doesn't matter what tank I take, fast, medium or slow - I somehow find myself at the front of the attack!

i could go for a smoke at the start of a game and i'll still be the first to catch an AP shell in the face!
 
was just capping in the jdpzr and 2 heavies turn up to help, enemy runs in and I shout for help, he takes prob around 45 secs to kill me and only when im dead do the heavies even fire a shot, they were about 50m away watching.

Some people make me wonder about MP gaming, polish *****.
 
bad night for me last night lots of gold ammo about. Few players trying to shove each other out of the way for the best camping spots.

I also dont think a lot of players understand the difference between providing covering fire (and then moving on) and camping.

There was a blockage of 2 heavies and two mediums, two of us hung back pinning them down whilst the third advanced. We knocked out two. Just before we were going to advance to the third tank a T34 came accused of us camping shot straight forward and got killed straight away. He then showered a tirade of noob comments. Meanwhile we joined the third tank and took out the other two.
 
Bah i see the KV-1S is in this weekends special again. I finally moved it's crew over to the IS the other day, i'd have left them in there if i'd realised it would be in a special so soon after that last time :(
