Although weak in armour, I'm quite liking the French line both heavy and medium at the moment. Quick, Agile and able to pack a real punch given half a chance with support from your team in some shape they are great fun to play with and a different play style to the other nations tanks.

Quite often get between 4 and 8 kills a round in my AMX50 120.

The guns are accurate and the 50 120 has a 120mm 4 round magazine which packs around 300-400 damage per hit, lovely :)

only 8 and mainly smaller things :p i accept that Frenchie challenge :D

would have been 10 but i ran out of ammo :o

replay available on request :D

I'm now stuck between upgrading to VK 3001 (P) and VK 3601 (H). Latter looks like a better tank overal but the Tiger upgrade from 3001 looks real tasty with that 200mm front armour. Darn choices!

the tiger P's hull is much stronger than the tiger h's hull but anyone that knows what they are doing will just shoot straight through you turret in the tiger p.

the other thing is that the tiger p leads to the rather average vk 4502's while the tiger h leads to the tiger 2 and E-75 which are better tanks in every way.

I must admit I never really see the VK45s as a major threat when I'm in my Ferdi but the E-75 is scary. It never fails to penetrate the **** poor frontal armour of the Ferdi and unless you catch it from the side/rear, the only place you penetrate is the lower front plate and hitting that is a bitch. At range you miss easily and if you're too close the angle can be too high to penetrate.

With T4 you won't unless you get lucky. T4 starts getting put into high tier matches as cannon fodder and only a select few tanks T4-6 do actually have the fire power to cause damage to high tier tanks (especially since WG decided HE weren't **** enough already and rendered them almost completely useless again higher tier tanks). If you look at the TD line, Marder II is a crazy powerful tank for Tier 3 (more so with a 100% crew) and is limited to T3-5 matches where it is always a threat. Hetzer is a fearsome tank in T3-5 but most of the time you get put with T7/8s who 1 shot you, making your only strengths of high camouflage and strong front sloping armour absolutely meaningless.

You just have to stick with it. In high tier rounds all you can do is hope to spot tanks and get exp/credits from other tanks shooting them (though lower tier tanks tend to have lower view range on top of no equipment and a low % crew, the higher tiers will probably spot things instead of you). Once you hit T5 you might want to consider investing in a 75% trained crew.

yeah busy getting research points for the final cannon on the Marder atm.

Spotting the tanks? IS that the T button that flags them or something else?
I spam that when I can.

I think my max crew atm is 63% or so lol

Well I think that's settled then I did fancy VK3601 a lot more.

Marder II is one of those tanks that you'll probably end up keeping (if you aren't keeping everything already). Its not the most accurate of tanks, more so given the smalller targets in T3-5 but its big cannon packs a serious punch. Really not uncommon to destroy half the enemy team with it once you get a 100% crew with good camouflage and equipment. It just can't take damage to save its life so either stay hidden or die for the most part.

Spotting just means finding. First person to find an enemy gets a bonus (the extent of this bonus is probably miniscule but I imagine only WG know what). If you spot an enemy and another tank shoots it when they cannot spot it themselves, you get half the XP/credits for any damage the other tank inflicts. Mostly it'll be damage scored by arty that gets you the XP/credits but if other players are hiding behind bushes properly to play as a hidden sniper or you simply have a forward position and haven't been spotted you get the rewards. Something to keep in mind but it probably won't help you much. Only a few of the lower tier tanks have a good view range combined with good move speed to actually spot things effectively.
You can have some good rounds in lower tier tanks even when you are cannon fodder but I really wouldn't count on it and more often than not you contribute absolutely nothing to the victory/loss. T4/5 are particularly horribly for grinding.

Played 7.2 briefly and there are some nice changes. Now it tells you when you spot an enemy (appears in orange text - like when you kill someone) and everytime they get damaged or killed again it appears in orange text so you can see exactly how well you are doing. The skills things I'm trying at the moment. I thought Eagle Eye would be better, maybe I'm just not using it right or it is still bugged but most of the time it doesn't tell you anything new.

Some good changes on the horizon though ! :)
