Think the 30 days game time was because I played XXX battles in rome total war arena and they are closing it down.
 
Yup, picked up a T50-2, 6 meelion credits and a heap of bonds. Nice.

T50-2 seems fun, but hull traverse seems WAY worse than it was back in the day. But in camo with a sub 3sec reload, its a bit like a low tier E25 in a way.
 
T-50-2 pre-physics was just hilarious. Storm in circle straff anything at 72kph and then run away again.

Enjoying the reboot version - only 2 games in it, but so much nostalgia.

The old Jingles video here just says it so well. Especially from 13mins on.
 
Other recent WOT highlights - FINALLY got out of the Black Prince - the turret was great, but the mobility and the gun - ARRRGGGGHHH. In 3/5/7 MM you just felt totally useless. I very rarely fire gold as I am playing a free-to-play philosophy.

But the Caenarvan now I've got the top gun is lovely. Hull down it's a beast. At medium to long range it is scary how much DPM you can put out. Plus the gun depression makes hull down so much easier than in other tanks.

Plus the Skoda T50 is great fun. As is my new Type 54 Ltwt.

Hate to say it I am really enjoying wot at the moment.
 
Black Prince was a weird one for me, tank is not good in many respects but didn't mind it and almost enjoyed it on certain maps.

I am actually going to fire the game up for some matches, get the T14 with the new Twitch rewards. Probably just play arty as don't know new maps or old for that matter, left before the 1.0 update.
 
I finished in the black Prince with a nearly 55% win rate firing no gold after 111 battles. So did quite well in it. Just hated the game play.

After 50 battles in the caernarvan I'm on 64% win rate, but pretty certain that won't last. Top tier, if you know the maps and can go hull down or get to snows from mid to long range it's awesome.
 
I've just re-purchased the Caernarvon, and the new 32pd gun really makes the tank worth playing even when your bottom tier you can get some decent damage done.
 
The top turrent is pretty strong, the gun is great, the dpm is awesome. Just a shame the tank feels so sluggish.

Another great game tonight (getting my x3 in). Ended up me hull down defending the base whilst 5 tanks went off to cap (and get stalled by a single Lowe). Meanwhile I had 4 enemies trying to sneak onto out base. had time to prepare so had some great bush action - spot, fall back, fire two and then respot. Over 3k damage mostly in the last 2 minutes of the game.
 
I hear the Caravan is a bit of a beast since the changes, I somehow got almost a 59% WR in the old version and Black Prince was at 57%. Oddly the WN8 was bad though and well below my average.

I would just park it like a bus around corners on city maps and hold until I'd die. Odd how many people would keep shooting my tracks without doing any damage :D

Then just make the most of top tier games, it is a beast when on the good end of 3/5/7.
 
I think you can win a lot of games by just holding a 1v3 corner. It gives the rest of your team only 12 tanks to worry about. Holding a furthe or corridor is a big but not exciting benefit to your team
 
I should have been dead about 4 times and I just can't figure out what their plan is.

I checked their stats and they're above average players. (51% and 52% WR with 30,000+ battles each). It took me a while to actually recover from seeing it.
 
I've been keeping a record of my wins and losses recently - My win rate is 52.25% so most games come down to basically a 50:50.

What I've found is that I very rarely get a balanced sequence of games - I'll play 20 games on a Monday and get a 60% win rate and then on Tuesday I'll get a 30% rate. It really does feel as though the MM decides to 'punish' you with some truly terrible teams. Ended up on a team the other day with 12 players under 48%, 2 on 49% and me, the ONLY player over 50%. I was bottom tier in my T54-Ltwt. Managed 2 kills. I was the only player to get any kills and we lost 15:2.

Why won't the MM share out the idiots. Get the 30 tanks, 6 T10, 10 T9 and 14 T8. Order them by tier then skill. Then deal them out like a pack of cards. Roflystomps are no fun either win or lose.

Re-bought the US M43/45 arty as I wanted to do some missions. It is SO much better than the T9 French arty.

Still enjoying the Skoda T-50 and Caernarvon. Had a awesome game in the T-50. 3 kills in 3 shots. 3.6 seconds to kill 3 tanks :-) It's lethal in the end game.

Other side of the coin is being shot 3 times by a 13-90 on my side for 'camping' - sigh. They really need to make team damage compensation a LOT higher.
 
I've had a decent time on the game today after having a three week break from the computer altogether. With the credits WG have given everyone for their 'service' I'm currently up to 9.5 million credits - it has either been a long while since I've had that many credits, or I've never had that many credits. I had a couple of games that annoyed the hell out of me, both of which included me getting Top Gun and top on damage and experience, only for the rest of my team to wilt towards the end. Then in the same two tanks I had those games in my team wins the next games with ease when I barely rack up any damage, but I think I've mentioned this happening before.

Currently aiming for the T95, Conqueror Gun Carriage, JPanther II and SU-101. I'm about 50K XP off the Object 268 and IS-4 as well, but I constantly get crap maps and match-making when trying to grind for those so they're on the back burner for now.
