Pretty much. Its incredibly agile but that TD style gun is just what the hell. All you can really do is spot things and get last hits. The guns aiming time and accuracy is ludicrous, makes it completely unusable on the move.

Everything is a money maker with premium on a good day.
 
I have a T62A (been grinding the T54 before the patch, still have that in my garage too), and it's a pretty fun tank to use. It's armour is less than that of the T54 everywhere except the turret so it's not invincible by any means. It has a slower top speed than its predecessor, but faster acceleration on a flat surface, though due to engine power and weight the T54 does overtake the T62A on a hill, such as Himmseldorf.

After the 7.5 patch, the matachmaking appears to be much better.

I also had a game last night in my Type 59, Mastery Badge: Ace Tanker at last in my Type! :D

I was sceptical about the changes to the Batchat but having played a few game last night with the new Tier X I actually quite like it again. You have to play to it's strengthes and weaknesses but if you know how to play it you can do some serious damage.

For example, I took on an IS4 - rather than trying to shoot it in the front in a normal peek and shoot approach, I zipped behind a hill and appeared behind him, unloaded all 5 shots into his back and sides while on the move and circling him - he managed to get one shot on me for ~400 damage. Meanwhile I'd left him on less than 25% hp. I then zipped over the hill again to reload - simples!

So all in all I quite like the Batchat again and I'm liking the changes as the gun does a decent amount of damage again and not once did I bounce a shot.
 
Wtf were WG thinking when they removed the long 90 from the Lorraine? Its now a gigantic T9 med with a truly crap gun for its tier (170mm penetration will bounce off a lot of tanks from the sides never mind the front). I had an excellent round in it yesterday but until I get the 100mm I can't really do anything without lots of luck.

Finally had a good round in my B1 too. El Halluf, 750xp (1st class) and Steel Wall. Mostly the result of spotting (our T3 Lorr 39 got 8 kills). Got very lucky, first tank I came across was a T-28. If it was using the Zis 4 I was dead. Thankfully it was using one of the crap guns and couldn't damage me.

My PzIV has enough xp to research either the VK3601 or the VK3001P. I'm also getting the VK3001H from the PzIII/IV (eventually, I'm finding the tank really weak). Just not sure which one to get atm. I'm thinking VK3001P --> Tiger P to research the long 88 (also want to try out the tank thanks to Links praise :p) then cutting across to the Tiger to push up to the E-75 for the engine on the E-50.

Ended up going for the VK3001H route myself. Not to bad a tank but most of it is stock apart from the carry overs so am struggling bit atm!

day of patch release, i got none.
yesterday i got 2, the american one, with a port, quite urban,
i also got the country one, serene or something, looks good, maybe because i got a good result on it.
tbh, only played them once, so, to early to tell

good tip regarding the tiger p, didnt see that to get the long 88 needs only 24.5 K of xp, (tracks and gun) yet on the tiger it takes 36.5 K of xp. (tracks, turret then gun)
i have both unlocked, so i will buy them soon,
oh i enjoyed the vk3601 H better than the vk3001 P

Now I'm tempted to get the T20 while it's on offer, (helps push towards the American tier10 medium tank). Also tempted by trhe french T7 heavy from the ARL44 but I may just leave that for a bit.
 
Only one I'm even close to is the IS... because I already have it.

If I do a massive grindfest this weekend I might be able to push through to the Tiger but that'll require about 60k exp on the VK3001P, followed by 25k on the Tiger P to unlock the Tiger but I probably won't even have the cash to buy the Tiger P, never mind the Tiger. Other 2 tanks I'm nowhere near.
 
You know I'm starting to suspect they do this intentionally to try and get you to put gold in. 4 rounds in a row on VK3001P have been t8 matches with the useless stock gun and it just so happens that this tank is one on the way to a discounted tank this weekend. T-34-85 is elited and isn't needed to push to a discounted tank and gets a T6 straight off the bat.
 
i only bought the IS on Monday, now i am going to wait until the weekend before i buy a tank in the future

I was thinking about using a little free exp to boost my way to the Tiger to get it while its half price... then I thought, whats going to take me longer to get? The 600-700k credits extra it costs to get it full price or the potentially 30-50k free exp to skip to it? Not worth the effort. Thats maybe 10-30 rounds in a Type 59 tops.
