** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

So if I went on and played more I would get into it a lot more.

It's more that you're playing the wrong bit. The key word in Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game isn't "game", it's "multiplayer". You will never get the most out of it unless you're playing with other people, and if you're playing with people you like the game can become secondary. In addition to raiding guilds and levelling guilds there are also social guilds, where rather than take part in organised scheduled raiding you can log in and ask who fancies doing a few dungeons while talking about sport. It's like an IRC channel with benefits.

The levelling process doesnt teach you how to play a class though either, I've a priest sat in the mid 60's, all I use is Pennance and maybe PW:S, same with my hunter in the 40's, Aimed shot and thats it.

This is true, you don't really learn your class till end game. Levelling a class from 1-90 definitely helps though.

After levelling 5 or 6 alts though the levelling process is killer.

I'm tempted to sub again and level some 85s to 90 in preparation for the new expansion. I hate levelling though so may not. :p

Just got my character to level 90 a couple of days ago.

Don't feel I'm doing near enough damage to what I should be. Only doing about 30,000 dps and I'm well below most other level 90s.

Does anything look wrong?

Yes you need more +hit, 15% to be exact. You can attain this by reforging your armour. Bear in mind that you get +hit from +expertise so say an item you have has +hit and +crit, you could reforge some of the +crit into +expertise to gain more +hit on an item that already has +hit on it (if you understand that confusing sentence).

If memory serves, at that ilevel (462) with your hit at cap (15%), you should be doing around 60-70k dps (more prob considering you are a mage and I played deathknight).

Comparing yourself to other 90s isn't the best idea because of the huge difference in ilevel on level 90 gear. For example I have 569 ilevel and my dps is around 300k (just over 100 more ilevel but 4 times as much damage).

And also if I am recalling this correctly the secondary stats that you should prioritise are:

Spell Hit (15%) > Haste > Mastery > Crit

Looks like you're still carrying a couple of level 85 trinkets, which you should have replaced with green items while levelling in Pandaria (you can buy 408 ilvl ones from a vendor as a bare minimum!). Also you have the wrong gem in your helmet, should be a burning primal diamond (intellect + 3% extra crit damage I think).

As you're a frost mage, you should stack and reforge to 15% hit cap, then go for haste, mastery then crit on your gear as of 5.4 patch.

Another tip for quick gear is do battlegrounds for honor, and buy the whole honor set to fill in your gaps including weapon, or run dungeons and convert your justice points into honor for the same reason. PVP gear has exactly the same stat distribution as PVE gear of the same level, so nothing wrong with using it to do dungeons or LFR.

;)

We are 5hc now

1st 5 bossses got Galkarus (SP) down last night and Iron to 25%

Hoping to have him down tonight :D

Unlucky with IJ how did you manage to wipe at 25%, I assume the 2nd bombardment phase. Are you cheesing it like we do and running off to a corner to hide like little girls? :)

Forgot to update: we are 7/14 (Nazgrim IMO is the easiest of the lot even though he is the 8th boss). We had dark shaman (with me as 3rd tank) at 3% last night so hopefully 8/14 tomorrow.

Our guild is changing to alliance on wed because we are all a bit bored with the game and fancy a change (well the main tanks, myself and 2 others want to go ally and the rest have reluctantly agreed).

Female Gnome Deathknight here I come! :D

Horde switching to alliance? Well I never. It's almost always the other way.

Come join alliance on Ragnaros, we could certainly use the numbers.

Haha, I have played Horde since 2005; my first ever created character was a human rogue but all my friends wanted to go horde and I think I only got to level 4. :p

We moved server to The Maelstrom via free migration because we got fed up of queue times on Twisting Nether with the plan to stay horde until just before WoD and then we would switch.

Only problem is that the horde population is about 1000 and there is 1 guild above us in the ranking and then hardly anyone else near us meaning that if we need a random for some hc progress we are screwed and add to that the fact the auction house is empty/expensive.

So we are changing to ally sooner rather than later just because there is 4000 of them and they have some good progress (world 7th guild is on there), which is nice for myself and the 3 others but "annoying" for everyone else. :D

Thanks guys. Already made some changes and am seeing some good progress :)

Just had another look. Good to see the improvement in +hit. I expect your dps went up considerably. :)

Edit: something else I just noticed..

Glyph of Icy Veins - you should only use this at higher ilevels. You should use icy veins for the spell haste. You should then use that glyph when your frostbolt becomes less than 1 second to cast while you have the spell haste effect from icy veins. I'm rubbish at explaining this but I will do my best: if your frost bolt becomes less than 1 sec to cast you still have to wait for that 1 sec to end before you can cast another because of the global-cooldown (GCD) so the re-cast time is still essentially 1 sec so to counter this you would use the glyph to remove the spell haste portion from icy veins and replace it with the 3 frostbolts which will do 120% (40% x 3) to a single target. Hope that makes sense. As to which glyph you should use in place of it I'm not sure, I will leave that to you. :p

Yea pretty much, we been going 3 healers so DPS is a bit slower, was going to go back to 2 healing it last night cause the ironic thing is our top DPS is healer offspec

Didnt try last night and face rolled 9 bosses in 2 hours

We should once this is down be up to 7 or 8 as we also know the next few bosses are walk in park, even siege meant to be easy and we nearly threw a few tries last night incase we got lucky but everyone just wanted to get it done asap.

It should go down this week as i got a few upgrades last night (still got crafted 522 boots and Shadow pan ring.......) and replaced my heroic neck with new so if i get lucky on loot ill loot to get timeless pieces as they can be upgraded to 535 (i have 2 timeless upgrade things) and ill upgrade them etc

Dark Shaman are not a walk in the park, Nazgrim, on the otherhand, is. Have tried out Malkorok and Spoils; they were very difficult, albeit we only had a few tries on each just to see what they were like.
