** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

ANNNNNNNNND Release date (At the latest)

World of Warcraft®: Warlords of Draenor™ Digital Deluxe (will release on or before 20/12/2014)

Don't think I'll resub in June and take a break. Its further away than I thought and I dont think there are plans for anything else to keep my attention to resub before release.

I don't know how I feel about this 40euro boost.

If I was to return to WOW I would definitely use it (begrudgingly) because I've levelled way too many times but a level 90 boost is not a vanity item. It's pay to win, while WOW still has monthly subs this shouldn't be happening.

It was inevitable the way wow has gone though.

Don't really mind the level 90 boost. Means I probably won't have to xfer all my chars to a different realm when my old guild comes back. I'll just get another char instead lol.

Just out of interest what exactly do you "win" by getting to level 90?

Does reaching max level in an expansion which is now in its last patch = winning now?

Its designed to get you started for warlords, to bring people back to the game who can play with their mates straight away instead of thinking, hmm i fancy playing wow with you guys, ok just go level to 90 first then see us in a week or 2.

If you got the free boost then automatically you were fully geared in the best heroic gear with credit for kills on garrosh etc with every achieve in the game then, maybe then you can class it as pay to win, but getting a instant level 90 in ****** gear is hardly breaking the world now is it.

Besides unless you missed it this feature is launched with pre-orders for Warlords which is a level 100 cap, yup definately winning there.

Aye, I agree it's a good thing. 1-90 must take a few hours (even when they release the next expansion). If it takes 24 hours of playing time to get to level 90 then paying about £1.60 for an hour's "work" is worth it for the people that can't be bothered/don't have the time.

Edit: I haven't played WoW for a long time, but isn't it also £20 for a realm transfer and £20 for a race transfer? So turning your level 90 Human mage into an Undead Mage on a different server would cost £40 anyway?

aye think its about £35 for the realm/faction transfer, i would have been tempted to do it with my ally druid, but now i can just start a fresh one on a new realm for a fiver more and keep my existing toon :)

I think its great.

I used to play WoW a long time ago and always being badgered by mates to resub, this L90 boost would let me jump right in, £40 is less than I earn an hour, how long would it take to get to L90 by normal means?

It's funny watching people justify this to themselves. Get a herd who like something and they'll nudge each other along to justify things it's fascinating.

I really wish I had screen dumped the convo me and other raid leader had at the end of TBC before we quit because of the changes. We took the **** saying you would be able to just go insta cap (which you now can) they'd remove talents (which they have the two selections in MoP do not count) they'd remove stats (which they have) you could just teleport everywhere in the world (which you largely can with free portals, hs cd and dungeon ports) and that you would be able to do a raid in 30mibs or so no bother (which LFR gives you) I think the only thing we are missing from our conversation is a insta win button.

The cash shop was heralded as account services only but look where it is now, if you can't see the direction it's moving in that's pretty dim (or deliberately ignorant)

It doesn't effect me directly as I no longer play but it does sadden me to see it now as I had my best mmo times on this game TBC/Vanilla.

Just my 2p worth and no doubt I'll be shouted down but there you go.

The game is evolving to stay viable in the current market that is awash with F2P MMO's and an awful lot of competition.

As much as I remember the old days fondly, WoW as it stands now is a near improvement in every way, For me at least.

It caters to the casual, the average gamer and the hardcore gamer In nearly all aspects of the game. It has micro transactions, Which are now becoming mainstream and as of yet are not P2W and the moment they are I will quit. The only thing I dislike is them giving away epics in places like the Timeless Isle, Although this is supposedly addressed in the new expansion with Dungeons and Heroics once again making you raid ready.

The game is never going to be everyone's cup of team but with the current gaming market the way it is the only way for them to attract back older and New customers is for them to make the game more accessible and less time consuming to get things done. The changes since TBC reflect this in pretty much every way.

I can understand your opinion though as if I quid back in TBC and came back to WoW now It is a completely different game and much much easier than you will remember.

Well the 90 isn't in yet, and with the cap being level 100 with Warlords (regardless of level time) that's a pretty daunting number for any potential new player so yeah chuck a free boost so that you can see the content that's relevent.

I would love to jump back into EQ/EQ2 to see what those games are about currently, what puts me off? How much I would have to level to see whats on offer.. Your never going to get a decent leveling experience this late into the game, so yeah bypass that.
