** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

Do you not raid? I'm sitting on about 80k or more across my account, my pala has most of it @ 69k, all earned from raiding DS heroic every week

I do raid but only recently just started, and anything that has dropped I have needed. Are they not bind on pick-up?

Blizzards Q2 figures are in and subs have dropped 1.1 mill from the Q1 figures and are now sat at 9.1mill subs. Do you see Mists increasing the player base or are people finally realising the subscription based mmo model is on the decline?

Personally I can see WoW having less than 7mill end of the year.

It depends on just how good GW2 is really, that may potentially pull away a lot of players but we'll have to see.

People can play gw2 and wow and not be any worse off, some people will leave wow for GW but the games are very dissimilar in both play style and end game so I doubt someone will drop one for the other.

Plus it's unsurprising they have lost subs when it's been the sane content for 6 month or something. It will pick up again and even if it doesn't it has 9mill subs no other game is even in the ballpark of them figures!

Said it before but I'll repeat for those to dumb to listen, the only way wow will die is if blizz choose to kill it off.

I say this as an ex wow player who willbr playing gw2 and I have no intention of playing wow again because I dislike what it has become. But for every hardcore player like me they lose (I was hardcore in vanilla/tbc) they pick up more casuals for ease of access the game offers most mmo'ers.

The Q4 results will probably be a more accurate idea of the state of WoW, right now as said we're in the pre expansion dead zone so it's expected people will cancel their sub for now.

Q3 results will be too early to measure the impact of MoP and GW2 but Q4 should show how well MoP has done outside of its novelty period.

Pre expansion lull is a myth though, Vannila, BC and Wrath all grew in sub numbers prior to an expansion :)

And if it isn't good I know plenty who will be going back

Yeah, everyone is creaming themselves over the GW2 beta, but a quick play at the weekend is nothing like the hours people have historically sunk into WoW. It may not be for everyone, despite being great at first, so we'll see.

I liked what I saw, but it didn't 'wow' me. I'll need to play it a lot more before making any proper judgements. Blizzard could, if they wanted, turn WoW around with some superb raid content (patched in) among other things. It's far from an impossible feat... if they want to do it.

I have no doubt they'll get well over a million people back for MoP.

GW2 end game looks non existent.

But then again GW1 endgame was turd yet stupidly addictive (or i thought it was anyways)

Pity MoP comes out day i go back to Uni ...

TBH I think that because GW2 is free it can be picked up at any time. I will be getting both games, just for the fact that is I like the set up of tank/healer/dps and can switch out to GW2 once locked into everything.

GW2 didnt WoW me as much as I wanted it too. But its nothing that I will be stopping me playing it.

Has anyone here played the beta of Mists?

On live, with ultra settings I can get 120 fps in most places, and it dips in cities/raids of course.

When I logged into the beta for the first time on my new system, everything was on ultra, I was only getting around 40 fps in the new zone and 5-10 fps in a dungeon. What's up with this? Is a 3770k and 680 not enough for wow!? Lol :S. I'm hoping its just this build or driver issues (that will be fixed when it is actually released). On High, I can get 80 fps, it just seems to be ultra causing problems. Anyone else got any experience of this?
