I'm not arguing. It's fact.

They can allow/disallow whomever they want.

They are not obligated to explaine why.

Emailing them about this, will in almost all cases, be a waste of time.

Hardly fact. We got banned with no reason given, and after NO foul play on our part. We were not just removed from the alpha, that wouldn't be a problem, but we are also banned from all future testing of alphas/betas, and also banned from PTR realms.

How you can call that fair, I don't know; if blizzard just decided to email you right now, placing the same restrictions on your account and giving no reason, would you not be annoyed? But regardless of what you think, I don't agree with you.

True but it doesn't make it right or just. Not to mention in the reply someone posted above they say 'for the integrity of the game...we have cancelled your access to the World of Warcraft Cataclysm Beta servers'. Seems like a bit of an accusing kick to the nads! :p
And while emailing them may well be a waste of time I think people are quite entitled to do so.
 
I'm a long time reader, but I never post, and Colin was able to get me into the alpha too, and I was also amongst those banned. I would just like to thank him for the opportunity and I hope he didn't get into any trouble by doing what he did.

It was a selfless act and one everybody should be grateful for. So thank you Colin.

Now to eagerly await the official release.
 
people just need to accept that they are banned from the beta and to just chill, its just a game imho. You shouldnt of even been in the alpha anyway so its not suprising they have clamped down on us.

Await the official release, or be mad enough at Blizzard and never buy one of their games again.....the choice is yours.

Im just thankful i got an early sneak peak and eagerly await the official release.

That's all we can do, annoying, but life goes on. It's just annoying we're also banned from the PTR, but ah well, I can nick a friend's account for that :D.

In more on topic news, the new engineering items on MMOChamp look pretty sweet - engineers get gems?

The smart money appears to be on those gems being specifically for socketing in the new Epic Engineering Killshades (helms), and that the blue/yellow gems sockets for those are just placeholders. Hopefully these will be a little more useful than Wrath's epic eng. googles, and we'll see even more interesting tinker items as the beta progresses. Including...

JETPACKS!

It's more the fact of being banned from all new betas for a reason we don't know.
 
I don't care about being banned really. What I saw looked nice but it's just the same old grind n repeat stuff I've been doing for 5 years. This game is so bland now I log on wednesdays to raid and that's it
 
im imagining either everyone who got banned broke the nda in some fashion or they happened to come across this thread back when there were a few tards sharing stuff about the alpha in this forum.

Thats my guess and as such pretty much everyone who was invited by colin or posting in this thread became guilty by association and as such its easier to ban all colins refers than to pick through the thread banning the ones who broke nda.
 
no, it will be because we were not meant to be in it, technically we are not friends and family of Blizzard. I didnt see much NDA breaking going on in here to be fair, we were mostly respectful to the opportunity colin afforded us.
 
New 31 point talent trees!!!

A first pass on new talent trees has been implemented.

* Each specialization has been reduced to a 31-point talent tree.
* Players will now get a total of 41 talent points to spend.
* 31 points must be spent in the primary specialization tree before any points can be placed in additional trees.
* Players will be asked to choose a specialization at level 10. Doing so will result in the unlocking of a spell or ability unique to that specialization, as well as one or more passive bonuses.
* While this is a first pass on all of the talent trees, death knight, druid, paladin, warlock, Arcane mage, and Assassination rogue trees are not as far along as other specializations.

Really don't like that all of us from friends and family are banned. I played the beta a few times, reported a lot of bugs, tested multiple classes and now can't get on it. sucks tbh coz a few idiots.
