** Official WoW Catalysm Alpha/Beta Thread **

I let a friend use my account when I stopped playing about 2 years ago, he merged this with his current battlenet account when it told him to. Is there any easy way to get it or just a character back off it to a new battlenet account that I'll create for cata?

I'm not sure if I'll last grinding a char up all the way again.

It'll be like a new game if you did start from scratch, Especially with the re-designed zones.

You can but I think the accounts need to have the same name attached to them.
 
Well Dan, put it this way. I've been in WoW since beta (on and off). When it first came out I pretty much dedicated my life to it. But I never got further than Vaelastrasz in vanilla (never went into AQ), didn't do ANY end game in TBC, and in WotLK, i've only done Naxx and 2 bosses in Ulduar.

I just seem to manage to get myself into the most unstable guilds in existence, or the ones who are miles ahead and "can't be bothered" to gear me up, despite claiming that they would be happy to when they accepted me.

Yet i'll probably give it all another go when Cata hits. And hope that maybe, just maybe, this time i'll end up in a guild that cares more about continuity and it's members than "OMG server firsts!!!".

Not sure what the point of the post is, maybe sympathy? :p
 
Lol my old account was only 5 man epic equipped when I quit, not fully endgame pimped so it's really not a big loss but it'd have been nice to get one specific one back (he's currently using my DK to tank 5 mans with other friends). I basically just re-sub for any new expansions, level up and play around for 2-3 months before quitting again. Keeps it all in check :p

I think we'll just use the refer a friend to boost a new char up to 55, jump to a DK then muck around getting some heirlooms and make a new Worgen after Cata is out.
 
Yep, they stated arena season would start 1 week after Cataclysm launch, they announced today arena season starts 14th December = Dec 7th Cataclysm launch!
 
Will the patch let you create the new class combination and I don't mean the new worgen or goblins.
Really want to create a human hunter asap.
 
Yup, 4.0.3 has all the environment changes so new quests as well :)

I am just hoping for some kick ass cinematics to explain all thats going on

They didn't announce the arena season would start on the 14th, it was just a text string for the in game notice that was datamined. It's something they could change in less than 2 minutes for the next build.

The 7th is as likely a date as any other but until theres an offical press release saying it i wouldn't get all convinced its definate yet.
 
On reading the MMO again without being half asleep, I see you're right. Ah well, I never take anything there as gospel until its announced officially by a blue.
 
Blizzard seemed to release another Batch of Beta Invites recently, I got mine today :} Anyone else got one? Only a few more months until the release date, but hey.. I'm not going to miss out on this.
