***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

As I understand it LK HC are time locked?

Kinda crappy. What is months these days equates to what, a week of tries back in BC?

Wiped for 2-3 solid WEEKS on pre-nerf M'uru before killing it. It broke high end guilds.

Nooooooooooooooo,

Was grinding crafting last night, back and forth from the AH to my bank stacking mats doing enchants, made my runed fell iron to allow me the 350+ enchants....

Was told to goto northrend to speak to the next level up crafter....

Its a WOTLK area :(

Thread in MM now lol, dont have time to goto shops today, well that and I aint paying the 24.99 they ask on the highstreet xD

Anyone seen this cheap recently?

As for cata Im thinking I should be lvl 80 by then on at least one char and Im thinking of one of them Worgens as a DK should look a bit better than my hunter :P

you could download the wotlk bit and buy a CD key online, don't no if its legal or not though.

I raided back when hard modes were HARD. 1st incarnation M'uru hard. Current raiding is almost on-par with facerolling. There is no challenge really.

There is no fresh content to support the hardcore player (which is why as it happens so many of them quit)

I want an encounter than only 10 guilds worldwide complete within the first month and breaks twice as many trying. There is no "hard boss" awe anymore. Sunwell was the last of that, back when facing a boss was a daunting task, where re-hashing your tactics over and over and over put you to the point of near insanity and it was hard to see the corpse of the thing any time soon. WoTLK does not have a single boss like that.

I am probably in a huge minority but I miss that god awful feeling of having to re-buff and go again, why? Because the kill was SO SO SO much more sweet. Where Pushing-To-Talk and nerd-yelling on ventrilo was not something you thought about doing but could not hold back on. Re-watching some my 1st kill videos now still gives me goosebumps. I wish WoTLK had an equivalent raiding instance :(

You know, I would hate going on with you on this trent but I agree.

There was something romantic (sic) and poetic wiping on Lady Vashj for weeks on end. The first kill .... oh damn ... people screamed at the top of their lungs. The relief was almost something you could touch.
Now imagine Vashj on 10man easy, 10man hard, 25man easy and 25HC. It would take all the sweetness and respect out of the encounter seeing her fall three times, before scoring a 25HC kill. Imagine a boss like Archimonde having to suffer the indignity of a 10man or even a 25 normal version :p

If Blizzard feel the absolutely must give the kids a chance to raid, at least plant 2 bosses that can only be encountered on 25HC and must be killed before you can get to the final boss. None of this practising nonsense on 25 normal and doing exactly the same on 25man HC but with just higher HP numbers.

Anyway, I'll be back for more mental punishment come Cataclysm.

People talking about hard modes from TBC make me laugh, try taking on pre nerf C'thun with 40 people back in the day, or even the 4hmen .. Nefarion .. that crazy emerald dragon which split in two, yeah all pre-tbc. That was hard. I miss my time in WoW :(

Anyone remember the old school Broodlord which had an insane amount of whelps ontop of that slowing trap effect, hah good times. I wish I kept my fraps of Valestraz :(

I only started playing in march after I quit LotRO and it does seem really easy compared to it.

I soloed Uldaman with my lvl 49 paladin (lvl 51 now), is that normal?

If I remember correctly theres a stone 2 or maybe 3 people have to interact with to engage the last boss?

Yes, you need 3 people to channel on the altar so you can open the door to get to the last boss and bring the boss to life. I did everything solo until then and I'm sure I could have finished him off. It all seems a bit easy is what I'm saying.:D

I soloed the scarlet monestary at lvl 47.

Well you out level it by 9 levels, and Monestray by 11.

Been there done that. Don't chain the green beam, buggy green beam, dont be a snooze in the red etc.

C'Thun was hard but by no means the hardest. Nef wasn't THAT hard. Some of the Sunwell encounters were some of the most properly difficult fights going.

M'uru who I see as the hardest boss ever (for me), had us to the point of insanity. Our RL was the most optimistic guy in the world, I mean nothing but nothing could get him down .. apart from M'uru. He still played well into Lich King before quitting, and he said even to this day when he sees the name mentioned in guild or forums, he gets a sinking feeling. The DPS on that fight was ... wow .... if you've been there, I do not need explain.
