***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

Yeah I have to agree, WoW is still the bst MMO out there but the community is the WORST by a country mile, its the one reason why I keep quitting. Then after a break I forget how bad it is, comeback then quit again shortly thereafter, its a real pity but theres nothing you can do about it

Same.

The community in wow really sucks.

It's amazing... the phrase person on internet + bad day + not seeing you face to face = being annoying; comes to mind.

im so glad i quit this **** game when i did! its amazing how much my life has changed for the better since quitting wow! and it wasnt that bad before! mostly work -> house work -> food -> wow -> bed ->work!

ive lost 2.5 stone but just not playing wow in near enough 3 months! and i wasnt exactly overweight before most ive ever been is a little over 14 stone at 5' 11" and im a very broad person! now im down to just under 12!

cant even be bothered to come back for cata either! the only thing i mis is the people i play with, absolute nout else about the game!

Yet you keep posting in this WoW thread dude. I'm happy that you are happy but banging on about it whenever you post here (since you quit) is getting a bit tiresome.

Congrats on losing all the weight, that is a lot of weight in 3 months.

Well, that seems like a change in your attitude, rather than just the game.

Yeah its the community in WoW which really nailed the coffin for me in the game.

Although WoW isnt 100% the type of MMO I like (bit too much instancing and not enough open PvP for my general liking) , I do admit that in general it was a good game to play.

However....there really is only so much of the WoW community I could tolerate and as the userbase over time grew younger and more immature with every passing month I simply couldnt bear it and left.

I don't want it to seem like I'm bad mouthing the game, I'm in the cata alpha test - and do love it. But, i'm also dreading the thought of going back to live servers. People are so friendly on the alpha, and then the live comes around, 3 months later and if it's "have more armor and health than god, be able to keep threat on enemies not even in the room, never have lag, don't expect any gear that I want even though I've come as a DPS and you're a tank or i'll kick you."

Ive returned after a year off and last night I had this classic...

Some baffoon 10 levels higher than me asking me for a duel, constantly, when I didnt reply he went onto someone else 10levels lower, they accepted for some reason, and so when they lost the person went "hahaha you suck"

They then proceeded to follow me for a little bit again, truly bizarre. ahh i love the ignore function.

At the moment when I try to log in the game keeps crashing and says;

This application has encountered a critical error;

Not enough storage space is available to process this command.

Program: lists path to wow file
File: .\Texture.cpp
Line: 2057

Requested 44876 bytes of memory

Press ok to terminate the application.

Any ideas what this could be?

Try running the repair app in the WoW directory, failing that when ever I've had an issue where I couldn't get it to run a re-install would sort it (backup addons etc etc).

Had that before. Or someone who tries to duel when you've got 50 percent health or lower.

It's.... pathetic.

Think it may be my firewall trying to sandbox the program everytime, should have by passed that now though and shouldnt have any problems

Get an addon called everyquest.

it has a database of all quests in game and you can use it's options to query the server to fill the addons information so it shows which quests you have completed (in the lists of quests broken down by zone completed will be green whereas quests you haven't picked up yet will be white and in progress quests yellow)

There is another addon called everyquest quest givers which places a ! on your world and minimaps at the location for every quest giver you can receive quests from in game.

forgive me for my ignorance as i have not been playing WoW very long. (about 5 months total)

I have a level 72 rogue ( http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Aerie+Peak&cn=Mustypie)
Who i am currently trying to get some skills maxed out on. I'm pretty high on fishing (grinded last day or so) and skinning (slowly as i leveled) and first aid (just need the book for heavy frost weave bandages) however its the lock picking i want to level next and im not really sure how to go about doing this? its currently on about 90 or so.

anyone point me in the right direction?

guys is there a mod that changes the npc chat box graphics?

for example when you talk to an npc and a text box appears for you to interact/get quests off

Thanks mate will look at that in my lunch break. Yeah i guess this one is going to be the most boring to level. Although it would be nice to open peoples lock boxes here and there for a small fee.
