***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

Blood is the most physical DK tree, only spells used as blood is the 2 diseases and death coil, everything else is bog standard armour reduced melee strikes.

I've taken Herbalism and skinning on my rogue that I'm leveling. Prices for the early herbs and leathers are crazy like 20g a stack on my server (Stormscale). I honestly think I can collect at least 10k worth of herbs and 10k worth of leather whilst leveling 1-80 :)

Happy days.

Another shout out to anyone on stormscale eu ?

I levelled with leather working, you will get far less than you anticipate :D

At 80 I had to go back to lower level zones to obtain enough just to skill-up leather working, very tedious tradeskill is skinning/lw.

Overall I really enjoy my time on WoW, but of late its being ruined by an irritating player that the GMs really don't seem to be doing anything about.

They spend half of the time in game jumping in the air every 10 seconds and joining Battlegrounds, its so immensely frustrating to join and see them there leeching away, and very hard to get enough people to mark them afk if I end up the same game which we'll lose due to having 1 person contribute nothing.

I opened a ticket well over a week ago and no action has been taken, is there anything else I can possibly do as they say don't contact them again after the first time? :(

Whoop

all u rich people, most ive ever had is 9k , and that took forever, im useless at making gold tbh :) tried reading a few guides but nope, doomed to be poor!

A few tips i would give is to keep a keen eye on the market, draw up some kind of system to see if you can make profit from certain professions, i personally use a couple of excel spreadsheets.

Really lol ? I mean come on it doesnt take a maths genious to determine if Im buying my mats for 20g, to then craft an item worth 40g that its a 20 g profit each time lol.

Not true.

I laid out less than 250gold getting JC up to self epic gem skill level when taken with mining, this is not counting the sale of anything I made/DEd on the way up. Did it in 2 nights of play.

J/C 0 to 450 in one day, cost roughly 2700g :P

What servers do you guys play on? Shattered Halls?

Ive just reopened my account and it has 7days free, but want to get away from the people I know so need a new server.

Always played on Argent Dawn since 2005, would prefer a PVE server now I think.

It is so silly easy, I am no gold gather but after coming back 2 months ago I have 15k gold.. I didn't "try" to save or make gold, it's just there.

I do Argent Tourny dailies for seals and thats it for dailies.

Any honor I get goes on epic gems and straight to AH.

Thats where my gold mostly comes from.

Mainly for. Convenience if i put in the cost I'd mats as I do with my enchanting spreadsheet I can instantly see which enchants are profitable wwithout having to think about it.

It's just extra Convenience

Got my Kingslayer title the other night :D

Bismarck The Kingslayer, Nice ring to it I think!

Start on the 10 man HC's now with my guild :)

Ya know - though I'm excited about the games expansion, it dawns on me whenever I read forums, and it's full of phrases such as "QQ" when someone wonders why there's a problem with their class that doesn't get fixed, I remember that the game is great, but the community can really kill it.

Sometimes, you'll get the best group ever for dungeons, and other times it'll switch to idiots which seem to look for any excuse to whine. It's actually the reason which does put me off tanking - though I love it.

Word.

About 18 months ago I moved from a low population server (Spinebreaker) with about 4 end-game Alliance raiding guilds to the one I'm on now which is usually ranked 1 or 2 in Europe (Frostmane). The reason we moved was to increase the pool of new recruits to choose from as our guild was slowly falling apart due to burn-out, people quitting, etc.

From a raiding POV it was brilliant, we got the players we needed and are currently trying to kill LK25 HC (oh what joy that is) but there's no sense of community on the server I'm on now. On Spinebreaker everyone had friends in other guilds, if you were short for a raid you knew where to ask and people helped each other our. Frostmane is the total opposite.

Now personally I think that the LFD tool is responsible for a good deal of this. Instead of forming a group with 4 people from your server you are thrown together with 4 people you'll never see again and everyone (even myself sometimes) acts like total jerks. I've had entire runs where not a single word has been spoken except "laters" at the end. Some times not even that.

Hopefully Blizz has some ideas on how to turn this around, because otherwise people will socialise in their guilds and nowhere else.

I haven't played for about a month now, as I said the Cata thread, my guild logs on for the weekly, logs off, logon a couple of times for a 10 man or a 25 man and then log off. Hardly a word is spoken.

The social side for me has died, I am tired of the daily and weekly dungeons. I am looking forward to Cata, hopefully it will re ignite my enjoyment for the game.

It pains me. I like the game, but I found people just start to expect you to do your role, then shut up and maybe they'll throw you the bone of being nice and possibly considering giving you loot.

I remember I got told that with my HP and gear, I wouldn't be able to hold threat in a dungeon or survive... I did, easily. Everyone just kind of shut up... yet I was playing with basically 4 people from the same guild (random dungeon, they all joined queue together) and that guild was amazing.... (as in, very high progress, excellent players). I'd told them my gear sucked, and they said "who cares, just do your best and it'll be fine" and we murdered the dungeon, no trouble, I held threat and they said I was a good player (I'm pretty good at tanking TBH).

How the hell can this be, that a good set of players is happy to play with a crap geared character, yet supposed "leetz" are whining about it.

Yeah I have to agree, WoW is still the bst MMO out there but the community is the WORST by a country mile, its the one reason why I keep quitting. Then after a break I forget how bad it is, comeback then quit again shortly thereafter, its a real pity but theres nothing you can do about it
