***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

You have played since day one yet you only have two level 80's?

Would have thought you would have had one of each class at the very least if you played from vanilla.

I don't quite understand what is so confusing about this? I have been playing the game since the original EU beta, and I only have 3 level 80's, two of which have always been my primary characters (Rogue and Priest), 3rd is a DK I levelled in WotLK, and a druid at level 73. The rest are low level characters which I haven't played much at all. I enjoy levelling every so often, but once you've done it a few times, it is rather boring to go through the same start zone quests over and over again to level new characters. Plus, I barely have enough time to dedicate to all my level 80's at the moment. I'm sure there are loads of people that haven't just levelling character after character, despite having played since the very beginning. In fact, I know a number of them :)

Without sounding rude, with that GS, you will struggle in HC's unless your a compotent player or running it with 4 others who outgear the instance.
Personally I would be running normal instance's and getting some lvl 80 blue gear before going into HC's unless the above includes you.

Yup, looks like I'm going to be doing that for a bit then. So what sort of GS should I be aiming for before even attempting heroics?

When I dinged 80 on my Hunter I had about 1700 gearscore, three or so days later I had about 3000 gearscore, maybe a bit more, and within a week or so I was at 4000 or more gearscore. Just run normal dungeons for gear or if you have gold available, but some AH epics, you will probably replace them but it will get you up and running a lot faster.

It shows my GS as 3073 so I don't think it's like the in-game GS addon. You can't PUG some of the Icecrown heroics until you have decent gear anyway, the finder doesn't let you.

Well...this is crap. The CE's only been announced yesterday and GAME have already reached their pre-order limit...Gonna see if the other two stores I was meant to visit today tell me the same.

Hope not been pestering em for weeks for a CE preorder.
they wouldn't allow me to as they didnt have the Item Codes yet :(

No mention of it on their website like

i reallly really hate pugs

as playing dps for years i have allways been annoyed by poor tanks not using any strategy to do the pulls.

however since using my pala tank the last few days i have seen the opposite side of things in that the DPS seem to allways be in a mad rush and even though im tanking excellently with great control of mobs etc etc i get constantly jip about not going fast enough

Going slower and more controlled where we succeed

versus

going fast with much higher chance of failing

hmmm which choice would i go for

the maturity level on this game is seriously pushing me away now :(

Go Go GO GO GO GO GO GO, fine I'll pull for you, GO GO GO OMG TANK HEAL.

Like that?
Just tell them where to put it. Tanks are rare and it's not like you spec'd ret and skipped the queue (hate those *****).

Take it at your pace, if they want to go fast they can always find someone on their own server that wants to do that. End of the day, they ain't paying your repair bill so they have no right to tell you how to tank.

ps I hate when people don't unlock dead mobs so I can skin, barely making any gold out of my professions. :(

As if this idiotic, laughable, arbitrary tosh called Gear Score wasn't enough hey :D . I see you now 'need' a certain GS to run a Lich King HC. From what I've seen, you need to be able to direct 5% of your concentration to the screen for 10 minutes and stay awake for 3min of those to get through the HC.

Pretty much the community is gone, if you are lucky enough to be in one of the few stable guild it is fine. But if one is "out in the wild", well, it is not bearable.

Guilds aren't precisely safe haven either. After I came back to the game I joined a guild, got myself to just over 5k GS without their help then got booted out of Sarth +3D run 'cause it's hard mode and my GS was not good enough' (before we even started). When I told them that HM was done in t7 gear, all I heard was 'yeah, right'. That's when I called them a bunch of clueless scrubs and /gquit :P

Sadly this is true, the community in a server is pretty much dead and realm irc channels and the like are dwindling. People are generally unpleasant to deal with and onl see you as a foothole to get higher. The majority of players also haven't been playing long at all and don't even know what things were like at the beginning of this expansion let alone TBC or vanilla. Player turnover is now hilariously high.

LOL.

I've played since day 1 (including the vanilla beta) and I only have 1, yes 1 lvl 80. Not everybody wants the tedium of going through the same content over and over again and lots of people have jobs, families etc and can't put the time in, besides, the only class you need is a druid ;)

Guys, I've just dinged 80 on my Holy Paladin and want to start doing heroics... what bonus healing do I need? I've currently got 1362 and 15304 mana unbuffed.

:O how is ur spell power soo low...

My 70 druid has 1200 ub! and 9.5k mana! TBh u are only ready for normal versions of instances currently. Keep spamming the Random dungeon finder, until it allows you to do hcs.

A sad irony here - the one thing killing WoW is its success. =/ The bolded part is especially true.
