Not quite the same - people will need WotLK (or as a matter of fact the Battle Chest) in order to install Cata - they may not necessarily need CE WotLK though.

Disregard comments, wotlk has fallen in price at the moment it seems on a major online retailer. Still it was recently more expensive than a cata pre order lol. So in comparison to the CE, why is the standard version price fluctuate up and down, whilst they are happy to flog the CE.

You have played since day one yet you only have two level 80's?
Would have thought you would have had one of each class at the very least if you played from vanilla.

Not at all.
I've played since vanilla and only ever had one top level till now, I have a 80 druid and warrior and a 69 paladin
don't get on with alts at all.
In fact the only guy I've known to have a top level of every class did it at 60, except he had a paladin instead of a shaman, which was odd as he played horde.

I'm not confused at all. I've played since late vanilla (patch 1.9), yet I only have 2 level 80s, one 70 and a few in the 30-40 region. I just can't bare the thought of going through the whole thing again - until Cata arrives that is.
I played since about 1.5. And only have 2 80s, a 76 and a 70 druid that i'm twinking atm.
I HAVE played since day 1. I just dont like the leveling. Done it a couple of times and have some lvl 30-40 alts but I dont really have the time to level more since new job came along few years ago.
I cleared all content in vanilla / TBC upto Muru and upto ToC25, so for me the game is most enjoyable during raid times ie 7pm - 12pm when I actually get chance to play.
It was a general post and I've had a couple of offers with one great one Im meeting on sunday! which covers 3 of the class's I wanted 1 of but all 3 is great.
P.S - Being in a solid guild / guilds since Vanilla I have a great rep on my server so I have I suppose 'shared' friends accounts - eg I logged onto a warrior to help tank ToC and vice a versa, they've logged onto my lock to DPS when needed. So I have plenty of experience playing most class's apart from DK which Im not too bothered about

Well...this is crap. The CE's only been announced yesterday and GAME have already reached their pre-order limit...Gonna see if the other two stores I was meant to visit today tell me the same.

If you're a fresh level 80 queue yourself up for Forge of Souls till you get enough badges for say 2 tier 9 pieces - at that point you ought to be safe to head into heroics without being mocked/kicked. Or...just do heroics with guild mates.
I take it Forge of Souls is the easiest heroic then?
By far the quickest, which i think is the point of the quoted statement. While not be uber hard it can be tricky to some poor groups (well last boss).

I didn't even mean the heroic. Normal version of it drops badges as well as ilvl 219 loot some of which is quite good for holy paladins.

i reallly really hate pugs
as playing dps for years i have allways been annoyed by poor tanks not using any strategy to do the pulls.
however since using my pala tank the last few days i have seen the opposite side of things in that the DPS seem to allways be in a mad rush and even though im tanking excellently with great control of mobs etc etc i get constantly jip about not going fast enough
Going slower and more controlled where we succeed
versus
going fast with much higher chance of failing
hmmm which choice would i go for
the maturity level on this game is seriously pushing me away now

It's 2 badges per run sadly. Old Kingdom will net you 3 badges if you skip bosses and is just as easy/fast. Same for Azjol Nerub. Down side is they offer worse loot.
Found out more about the Game thing - turns out they only recently got the pre order code but its being blocked by the H.O. possibly so they can establish how the pre-orders will be handled.
