well vegas is really just an advanced movie maker, so perhaps make a few with movie maker (which is probably what most people start on, including myself), and then once you've got a grasp of that and feel like it's limiting you, move onto vegas and it should come naturally then.

dont do a 20 min film :p

so in parts

i just encode to 1920x1080 or 1080p more than good enough for youtube

5 mins at that would be about 200 meg i think

A recent FSX movie I made, kept it simple, used short recorded clips from the game and edited them together in a coherent way, choose a sound track and threw it together with windows movie maker:

I've just finished my first commentary after having one of my subscribers requesting it constantly, even going as far as phoning me about a hour ago egging me on to do it (he's a mate.).

I sound horrific and its quite boring really, and I just realized how disgusting my accent is.

I'll post it up laters.

Good commentary actually. The only thing I'd point out is that you mumble a bit and should either speak louder or turn the audio clip up when editing, as it's quite hard to hear you in places.

Meh don't worry about it I think every YouTuber thinks they sound boring or whatever...I suspect too many I do but too the few that watch my videos they find the content rewarding enough. I don't do it to please others, if people watch my vids great but if they don't I ain't gonna cry about it.

Just try and make stuff as concise as possible is my only tip, iv learned that after 20 vids lol

Another DDO video

Two paladins and their hired clerics go through the traptastic Gwlyan's stand quest.

Part one of my Venetica Let's Play (currently up to episode 7)

Got some City of Heroes stuff planned, taking requests for DDO stuff.

(sorry can’t remember how to embed?)

I did this on dirt 2 the other week. I was gunning for the "head over heels achievement" and it went much better than I expected :)

Poor quality due to camera phone, but still pretty cool none the less.

I must add I am terrible at racing games and dirt2 is the first I’ve played in years! (Got it free on PC)

To embed, you use the [ youtube] [ /youtube] tags without the space and the last part of the video link. Yours would be [ youtube ]Fzdn6_sBVic[ /youtube] without the spaces :)
