Oh how the mighty have fallen

I would never leave the UK, home-wise.

It is where I was born. It's my home. I'm proud of being British.

I do agree that the UK has a number of problems, however we also have some great reasons to stay too.

Couldn't put it any better :).

God save the queen. :p

people who think taxes in the UK are high annoy me.
and living costs are only (relatively) high in London

some things are very cheap to run in the UK, like cars for example
The UK has very cheap goods and services, especially cars.

Taxes are high in the UK unless you are poor'ish when it's hand outs galore.

You can fall right down the cracks there though, ie be a single working man (poor).

No help whatsoever. Open your legs and go like the clappers as a woman, and bang payment gyros the rest of your life.

I'm including stealth taxes.
even so, they're still lower than they could be

but the difference is in places like france and belgium, there are ways of getting round a lot of tax perfectly legally.
it just requires a lot of paperwork and effort :p

So why do people risk their lives sometimes multiple times per day too hitch a lift from #1 to #25 on the axle of a HGV's trailer?

I would never live anywhere else because ive lived in the U.K all my life and its my home ..... but I can see why people do move abroad, I think in order for the U.K to gain back resepect the issues its currently facing need to be dealt with because there's always more that could be done the weather more could have been done yet it wasn't grit/salt for roads etc same goes for the recession .. if they know things could have been done then they should have done them.

I think England will always be my home and most likely i will end up living here for the rest of my foreseeable life however i would like to do some internships in australia and canada as i would really prefer to live in either of those places for the rest of my life. But although i would prefer to jump ship to canada or australia i wouldnt leave england without missing some things a bit, it is a **** hole, but its my **** hole.

Benefits.

If you boil that down one layer, you could say that the Benefits make their quality of life here better, and that the list is clearly focussing on the wealthy.

But if you boil it down another layer it becomes, the elected government in the UK are stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Which has the effect of dragging the rich down until the emigrate (they can afford to), rather than raising the poor.

I've come to the conclusion that the issue is far to complicated for a list, one man's hell is another's paradise.

I want to go to Australia personally.

Personal experience. If that's the best insult you can come up with when you can't refute someone you're not doing very well.

To be fair your post took maybe 30 seconds to write. To give a fully comprehensive comeback with figures etc which would be needed to refute what you said to stop it being based purely on opinion would take a much larger amount of time . You could then turn around and go. So UK SUX!!one . So that would be a massive waste of time for whoever would try to properly refute what you said.
