Olympic Athletics

Liu Xiang :eek::(
5live cut out for me just as he was going to start. Came back on when they were talking about someone that had snapped their achilles and was hopping down the track :( Please don't tell me it was Liu Xiang :(:(

I felt so sorry for him after the Beijing games, and for it to happen again now would be heartbreaking.

It's certainly been a morning for injuries to make their presence felt. Let's hope it doesn't extend to Idowu!

Edit - Goldie Sayers' interview. Poor girl was fighting the tears :(

He flew out of the blocks only for his lead foot to plant straight into the first hurdle :(

His Olympic luck is terrible.

So just heard on 5 Live, Philip came back out of know where after all the whooha and just fell short of going through... shame really. Reminds me of Dennis Rodman... with longer legs.

The only shame is that Team GB didn't kick him out earlier and select someone else who would actually train, stay in touch with the team, and actually want to be there. :(

If he wants to stay behind so he can work the person who knows his body best and he feels more comfortable with that then he should be allowed to. van Commenee is just a **** who likes to stir the pot. He shouldn't even be coming out publicly to raise these questions it's absurd!

Any way it's Bolt time... he'll jog the last 50m or so. :D

Here comes the skinniest sprinter I've ever seen in my life!

Something definitely in the water in Jamaica, the physical difference between Blake, Bolt and Weir is just weird. And Ashmeade as well since he's around the same age as Blake and Weir. :confused:
