Only in the UK could you do somthing like that. Awesome.
Uh huh, no the whole Queen and Bond thing, no other country has anything comparable that would recognisable worldwide.Well obviously, why would other countries do an opening ceremony on British history..
castiel and stock seem to have swapped roles wtf !
I thought it was a bit disjointed at some points but overall it was excellent to watch. I know Mr.Bean was fairly popular but I thought that part was absolutely cringeworthy. There has quite obviously been a huge amount of clever thought gone into it and Danny Boyle is incredibly talented but it seemed like segments such as the Mr.Bean part were just 'fillers' for when they had ran out of ideas.
I think we should lay off the queen, she is quite old now, a lapse in concentration is forgivable.
I strongly believe there is a hell lot more history and culture in the kingdom than the industrial revolution, NHS, sms's and music.
Caliban's Dream - Underworld Feat. Dockehead Choir & Dame Evelyn Glennie & Only Men Aloud & Elizabeth RobertsThis is driving me nuts:

I've never watched another opening ceremony - why were Beijing and Athens better?
Isambard Kingdom Brunel had a key part in the industrial revolution piece, he also read a passage from Shakespeare in the opening of it.because athens was more artistic and beijing epic . I dont know why should i remember last nights ceremony, except maybe mr Bean. But then is this all there is to Britain? What happened to Darwin, Shakespear, Brunel, Victoria, Cook? Its like you people have a fight with your past, thats fine to me but allow me to have another picture of Britain in my mind, i didnt like it anyways.
I agree - if it was supposed to showcase British contributions to the world, there was a massive amount of important events missed out.
