Really don't like Clancy's race style. Seems very defensive and always seems to be at the back of the bunch and hence misses all the breaks.
Tactical naivete, wanting to save his legs for the time trial, being stuck in the field and not noticing until it's too late, take your pick. Commentators have said (many times!) that he's not so hot at the distance races.

Four points adrift, if he can win the time trial he may have a chance depending on where everyone else places. But it is going to be hard work and more than a bit of luck.
There's loads of finals for the womens sprint, the medal final isn't until Tuesday.
