Just noticed this story about Bauge apparently more or less accusing Jason Kenny (and by implication the rest of the GB cyclists) of doing something unfair to win. Anyone know if the story has been reported correctly or whether it has been blown up out of nothing?
If that is being reported correctly then it's a bit of a disappointment, I thought that initially Bauge had handled the loss with a fair amount of class.
i don't know about this story but i heard something similar on radio 5 the other day. the french were grumbling that GB haven't dominated track cycling in the 4 years since beijing and they're a bit miffed at our much improved performance in these games. the answer was quite simple. we don't care about results inbetween. all our efforts are timed to peak at the olympics. we have a lot of money from the national lottery poured in and it's all geard towards olympic success. lastly, there was a comment about our equipment but apparently you can buy it off the shelf and it's been around for 2 years. how accurate that is, i don't know.
