OMG Ebay users are getting really lame, threatening me with prison

The FBI ? Can they do stuff in the UK, I thought they had no jurisdiction outside the US ?

I'd tell him: ''If you haven't noticed, the UK is not one of the 50 United states, the FBI or any US law means bugger all here.''

the fbi wouldn't care if this happened in the us either, it's not worth their time.

If its something that falls within their mandate they can liason with local law enforcement in the UK - this case very much doesn't fall within their mandate tho.

When someone who was hosting a server at the same facility as me (in the UK) was engaged in illegal activities including activities in the US the FBI had a warrant to sieze the server and FBI agents arrived in person to oversee it.

Well I have just been browsing the FBI site and found this answer

So would they do this for a marble ?

as stated the FBI won't even get involved for something this trivial.

You're going to need the crime to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for them to care.


Maybe if the marble has a core of plutonium....
 
The only way the FBI would get involved would be if you were repeatedly ripping off US citizens with fake marbles at a few grand a pop - which would most likely result with them gathering information and handing it on to the relevant UK authorities - possibly via interpol.
 
You haven't even claimed it's anything other than a marble. You can buy prints of famous paintings, as long as they don't claim to be an original I don't see how there could be an issue?
 
its a tad worrying though, that people out there think they can scare you into things through the net, i mean, ebay will gladly give this person my address, im thinking now of that killing spree that went on with some psycho from America
 
Don't worry the FBI wont get involved.. however if i was to anonymously ring the FBI to say that the money made from this marble will be used to sponsor terrorism and your child sex ring then they just might.. to stop this happening send me half of the money made from the sale to this paypal account. To be honest he'll probably come back to you saying, "i know what ill give you $10 and you send me the marble and we'll forget the whole thing"

seems like an idiot to me just play him along for a bit
 
No ****ing way. Surely not. A 2" ceramic sphere with some stuff painted on it is going to sell for over $1700? If so I've been going about part time work completely the wrong way.
