OMG Ebay users are getting really lame, threatening me with prison

I think the guys bonkers but you definatley don't want the fbi on your case mate, I have no desire to see Hellfire armed UAV's circling over derbyshire!

No offence mate but I, like may others, have seen auctions like this on ebay - I've always wondered if it's not some poor man's attempt at money laundering?

Anyways - good play on the find - where do you drink? When this pays out surely your treating everyone at your local to a round :p

It is unlawful to apply a registered trade mark to goods, or to make an exact copy of goods which have the benefit of a registered trade mark registration, without the permission of the trade mark owner.

Even where goods are not subject to a trade mark registration, it is sometimes still possible to bring an action against someone making copies of goods, or attaching marks to goods, without the permission of the person already trading in those goods and associated marks. This is called a 'passing-off' action.

Afaik 'old marble' isn't a trademarked item, and you're not passing it off as anything it isn't.
You aren't doing anything wrong.
If people think it's more valuable than it is then that's their problem. You have specified explicitly that you have no idea what it is worth.

The person who wanted you to end early I assume? Just ignore the email. I've had ebayers threaten me with court action only for them to go all quiet after a week. Seriously ignore it and good luck with sale.

this is the last message i sent him.

''Dear early-halloween,

look if you feel this strongly about this i suggest you report it to ebay, and let them decide if you are right or wrong and stop harrasing me, if you send anymore messages you will not get a reply, i dont play silly keyboard games.

P.S. Your Mum.

there we go

Only problem I can see is the OP is claiming its Old, from China and made of Porcelain.

Problem is if it is a fake then it won'tbe old, or from China and maybe not even made from porcelain.

Okay the FBI won't get involved but I would expect a chargeback on the account and a report to Ebay if it turns out to be fake.

It would have been better just to advertise it as "Marble, old looking with Chinese style pictures painted on it" and then there would have been absolutely no comeback.

As it is, the OP is indeed making claims which he doesn't know for sure unless he has had an expert already examine it?
