On The Wagon... then in 'ere!

I'm off booze for the immediate future and going for at least a month. Part of it is to cut back on things that badly affect your mental state during stressful times, part of it is to save some money and finally to help get my fitness up to scratch!!!
 
I would say I'm dependent on alcohol. I think a great number of people are but very few would admit to it.

I crave alcohol pretty much all the time, and when I get home it's great and I can physically and mentally feel myself improve as soon as it's in the system.

Do I have any intention of limiting my intake? No. Do I want to? Not really. Could I? Definitely not.

Good luck for those who are trying, as I've seen all sides of alcoholism, but it's just not something that I'm prepared to try at the moment.

At least you are honest about it! Do you ever have a night or two off the drink? I ask because previously when I had been drinking every night for weeks I would find the grip much stronger and even contemplating a night off without it would cause anxiety.
 
What a day! Honestly it couldn't have been any worse, first bite to eat or drink was at 1.30pm and that was from last night! Home now, shattered, had a healthy snack of fish and lettuce in a wrap, cold soft drink and soon a hot shower!

No beer!

Feel like i'm drinking just for the sake of it at the moment !! had a bottle of vino blanc last night, going out on Friday and a family meal on Sunday ! Next week can't come soon enough :D
 
I really want to reduce my intake. On my days off I usually get through 4 cans of Newcastle browns at home and if im out at the weekend ill have 3 or 4 pints then too.

Ideally id like to cut the drinking out at home completely and just have a drink when im out ( walk to pub its across the road :p )
 
Soooooooooo I have a leaving do to attend Friday night after work, I'm highly likely to leave around 10 anyway so I'll be aiming to not drink however I'm a week in to the paleo diet and trying to think of drinks apart from water and black coffee, need your inspiration.

Soda water is always decent (I know - technically water but the fizz makes it more interesting at least). You can add a slice of lime or lemon if you want to mix it up.
