Thought I'd add a few more after a quick browse of my music...

Procul Harum - Whiter Shade Of Pale
Hole - Celebrity Skin
Gary Jules - Mad World
Rainbow - Since You've Been Gone
Kim Wilde - Kids In America
Seal - Kiss From A Rose
John Parr - St Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)
Mott The Hoople - All The Young Dudes
Paul Young - Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home)
Chesney Hawkes - One And Only [someone was bound to mention this eventually, I's been like the elephant in the room]

As you can see I have exceptional quality contol

I would've said Extreme - More than Words.

Then Lostkat opened my eyes to Hole Hearted. It aint as fantastic as MTW but its a good track.

Some interesting definitions of one hit wonders in this list.

I would hardly class Rainbow (7 Studio albums, 1 live and 2 Best ofs whilst still going) as a single hit band.

Couple of proper ones:

Spirit in the Sky: Norman Greenbaum
Spirit in the Sky: Doctor and the Medics
Inside: Stiltskin

loads of the bands/artists mentioned on here are far from one hit wonders! heres a few of the more random songs I have on my mp3 lists:

The champs - Tequila
Sugar hill gang - Rappers Delight
Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs - Pin

Seal - Kiss From A Rose
Really not a one hit wonder!

It's not even his best song, I'd say Love's Divine and Crazy are better. Then you have Killer and Kiss from a Rose. All 4 of those are absolute classic tracks and his other tracks are all very good too.

William Shatner - Has been & You'll have time (it shouldn't be good yet it is!)
Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, and Common People are better songs, imo.

The Frank And Walters' "Happy Busman", from their album "Trains, Boats And Planes". It's a corking three-minute slice of innocent glee.
Damn, I used to like the Frank And Walters a lot... haven't heard any of their stuff for years. Might have to look for the tapes I used to have. :)

ooh, I just had to remind myself for when I get home - Andreas Johnson - Glorious
This was the song I was going to mention. I actually really like it. No joke.

How about another oldie.... Driving Away From Home - It's Immaterial. And another one-hit wonder.... Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners. Or how about Street Tuff - Rebel MC (I love You Tube :D)

....and another one that springs to mind.

No Rain - Blind Melon

Not sure it's been mentioned yet, but how about Katrina and the Waves - Walking on Sunshine

How could I have forgotten this....? Rock Me Amadeus - Falco

And one more....

Who else remembers the very strange video and even more strange lyrics on this...? Hey Matthew - Karel Fialka
